  1. I just ordered the Balboa Wifi module for my Bullfrog spa.... I actually have audio from my HC800 running into the audio system built into the tub so can play anything via Control4 in it. Now it would be nice to be able to have C4 control the tub temperature for like Vacation mode programming and such. Please let me know if this driver does indeed see the finish line.
  2. If I use a Bluetooth mouse the response is immediate so it has to be some latency with C4 commands while a movie is playing
  3. I should clarify, on the menus and input via virtual response time is basically normal. However when I am trying to fast forward or Advance a video or pause or play is when the delay occurs
  4. I have 2 XBMC boxes currently, 1 in my main theater area and 1 in my rack running into a 4x4 HDMI matrix. My issue is I have significant delay in command responses of approximately 4-5 seconds. For example, if I hit FForward, and then try to hit it again it won't respond to go from 2x to 4x to 8x etc for at least 4 seconds between response to increase FForward speed. Another example if you hit PAUSE, it will take 4 seconds before you can hit PLAY. My dealer said that is normal (?!) for the XBMC Control4 response time but it's very annoying. In looking at Composer it appears the driver that is there under Properties is "Control4 DriverWorks SDK" as far as I can see. When I'm looking at Properties, the LuaOutput keeps moving along and saying On Timer Expired every 30 seconds or so with some other lines of dialogue. Any ideas on how to get more rapid response than 4 second delays between commands being accepted???
  5. I was just about to post the same question as this is quite annoying especially when trying to walk out the door. "Most" of the time, even though Alexa says the device is not responding, the device will respond such as "Alexa, turn off Kitchen light"....."The device is not responding"... light turns off..... after a delay. But I do agree, the C4 integration should be a faster as I'm finding myself waiting for the command to be executed before not leaving the house or leaving the room, etc...
  6. One thing in going back to the previous driver, I appear to now be missing the ability to send a notice to specifically indicate which sensor is being triggered. I've tried to text myself the 6 variables listed under Security->Device variables which are HOME_STATE, AWAY_STATE,DIARMED_STATE,ALARM_STATE, DISPLAY_TEXT, TROUBLE_TEXT. I thought the DISPLAY TEXT was the one I used before but when I send myself both text and PUSH notification it's blank. I've tried every combo of PRESSING "*" on security with and without a delay but cannot seem to figure out a way to send what is on the security panel display to myself via text or push alert.
  7. So after wrestling with multiple issues with the new Interlogix driver for my Concord4 (couldn't get 2 additional sensors added, old keyfabs couldn't be used to trigger events for the * or the LIGHTBULB button with the new driver), my dealer finally put the old driver back in...... everything working perfectly now it would appear. So, what is the benefit really to the new driver? I didn't see much difference other than the sleek appearance on the on screen interface. Functionality seemed diminished in my case with the loss of keyfab usage and then the trouble I was having adding 2 more sensors.
  8. I don't believe I have the ability to delete a driver as I only have Composer consumer edition. Is there any other way of making the C4 system read the panel? The sensors are definitely programmed in and work but for some reason C4 doesn't see them in the project. However, something that is strange is that my Android C4 program does show them as Unknown Zones #33 and #34 which correctly corresponds to their learned sensor numbers. They do no show up anywhere in Composer.....
  9. I've just added 2 window sensors to my system (GE Concord 4 with EA5 primary controller on most up to date software). However, I am unable to get the 2 new sensors to be recognized by C4. I've tried going into Composer (as has my dealer remotely) and going under the PROPERITES and hitting the READ PANEL to pull them into the system but they still don't show up. All of my other sensors do show up. Any suggestions on how to get the C4 to recognize these sensors which are 100% working with my security system just not showing up in C4.
  10. Talked to my dealer (I should say texted when he bothers to respond) and he said to program Composer to STOP scan 2x after a scan is complete and that should allow it scan the next time. However, I cannot find anywhere in programming how to program a STOP scan and it appears to have to be done manually under MEDIA SCANNING OPTIONS. 1) any opinions on if this should help the issue of scans not starting 2) is there anywhere in programming for the STOP SCAN command?
  11. Still having scanning stop working after a week or so which requires an unplugging of my HC800 that is my main controller. Once I reboot it works for about a week and then same crap....
  12. I've still been having intermittent issues with scans. I'm still on 2.5.2... I use a DroboFS for storage. Scheduled scans works for a few weeks and then seem to stop. Once I unplug my HC800 and replug, scanning works perfectly.
  13. I haven't manually run a scan lately but can check later to see if it's not currently doing the scheduled scan. The only solution that has resolved it every time is unplugging my HC800 and replugging in.
  14. I'm running 2.5.2 Seems like every couple of weeks or so I have to unplug and replug to get the scanning working. I need to update my media so I can play using my SR250 remotes under ARTISTS or ALBUMS so I don't believe My Movies is an option... I just want my media library to automatically update on schedule as I have programmed but it's not even doing scheduled scans until I power cycle....
  15. Well it appears that my problem has returned. It seems after a week or so, the scan function doesn't work. I have to unplug my HC800 before scanning can be performed. When I try to scan in ComposerHE it just sits there with DIRECTOR STATUS IDLE.... This is annoying and an end user shouldn't have to unplug something and replug in to get it to work...
  16. I haven't typically waited... what I did do was delete the mm.db file and so far I'm seem to be doing ok.... that seemed to clear up the issues per CyKnights recommendation....
  17. Huge thanks! Will give it a try and let you know! I know when I first obtained my Control4 system 3 years ago, there were a few MP3s that would actually stall the scan all together and the system would freeze up. Fortunately I was able to isolate those files and haven't had any lock ups like that since but will try to rescan all sections to make sure one section isn't causing this issue....
  18. so the XML file will retain all of the file tags as well as the currently saved artwork? I'm just a bit nervous since I've put a ton of time into getting the right artwork and such. So, do the following: 1) export each of the 4 sections of my music into XML files 2) delete both mm files 3) reboot HC800 4) import the XML files under their respective sections
  19. Well this find is interesting... I did find that file and it says corrupt. I know at one point I had to reload all of my media when I updated software a few revisions ago (2.4 I believe) and there was an issue where my media was gone. What should I do with these files that I'm showing? (By the way the "mm" file that appears to updated was likely changed as I just did a scan. The other "corrupt" file hasn't been modified in some time it would appear.)
  20. Cyknight, Where is that file located on the HC800 accessing it via windows? Also, can I just back up my entire project including media and artwork, delete that file, and just reload the project? I currently have my music divided into 4 scans (A-E, F-L, M-R, S-Z) and if I try to export the media it looks like it wants to save as XML format.
  21. Bump. Updated to 2.5.2 software and HC800 still has to be unplugged and rebooted to perform a scan every few weeks.... This is getting old and for an advanced device to have to reboot everytime by pulling the plug is silly.
  22. Still having scanning issues.... Just tried a manual scan after adding a new CD... I get the "Removing entries which no longer exist" and "Getting directory count" and then it just say Director Status Idle without moving forward with the scan. Unplugging the HC800 everytime I want to do a scan is lame....
  23. No special characters or weird words. The scan works fine once the HC800 has been rebooted so it's something problematic with Control4. Scheduled scan doesn't even work when no new MP3 or FLAC folders have been added. The only fix is pulling the power plug on the controller and allowing reboot.
  24. Looks like my scanning issue continues... I have a twice weekly full media scan scheduled and just noticed that some recent albums I added to my media library were not listed. I then tried a "manual" scan which did not start once again. I have just unplugged and replugged in my HC800 and the media scan then runs fine! I'm running 2.5.1 software using ComposerHE. Has anyone had similar issue???
  25. Found it on the right side next to my my media files.... thanks!
