Merry Christmas. 

I’ve been using Chowmain’s IFTTT driver for geofencing ever since follow me stopped working and I must say it works great. It’s extremely rare it doesn’t work. Everyone in our house is iOS devices. Highly recommend it. 
I also agree with you it would be nice to have it natively integrated into C4.

I second this. Just go with the Tesla homelink to automatically open/close garage doors with geofencing. It’s rock solid and works every time.

Thanks @msgreenf and @DanITmanfor your replies. Someone from Canada has reached out and has a couple. If it doesn’t work out I will connect with you guys. 

My system is set up to email me on colour change as well as smoke alarm (separate notifications). The notifications do not come in real time. They come when the protect checks in once a day.
I simulated a fire twice by blowing out a candle under it and the alarm sounds and the nest app notifies me but control4 won't notify me until it checks in which usually takes place in the middle of the night.
