Any chance we get this capability? Both Shelly and Home Assistant got Apple Car Play capability and it’s way cooler to control some functions from Car!

I have installed the driver in Control4 and the apps are launching on Fire TV but I cannot control the Fire TV with my Control4 remote which is a SR-260. Below is the log when pressing buttons on my control4 remote.

RoomMe turned out to be hot garbage from my testing. Good concept, poor execution unfortunately.
Good to know, I think they are dead, 2 years delay in a product lunch tells a lot!

@Amr where did you find the control4 mini driver for pandora?
I didn’t, I play it from Bluesound Audio menu, it’s 2 clicks which is not a big deal, the driver is not updated yet to include Pandora, I believe this would take some time, or it may never come. Depends if they care to pay the developer to add it, so far nothing announced!

Do you guys have any specific recommendations for this? I have tried buying a few BT products to see if I could get it to work but all of them turn off after a certain amount of time. Any advice would be appreciated.
I was waiting for their v2 of hardware that were never launched, RoomMe allows you to have room presence by tracking BT iPhones, Google it and see if this suites you, it has a C4 driver as well, this is my only recommendation, another way which is more complex, again is to use BT gateway with HA then Import these sensors to C4 with the C4 to HA driver I pointed out earlier in this post, nothing else will work!

Yes the dropouts not only network related could be equipment related, so amp could be a factor, you need to get to the root cause

We listen to music all day. Our music choice is SiriusXM, Amazon, Pandora, YouTube Music, and our own Mcintosh File server... The music is routed using our Control 4 to all the rooms in our house. The concept is really great. The problem is that the music, regardless of source, will stop playing for two to five seconds, and then resume. This happens four to ten times per hour. Our Control 4 dealer in Gainesville, FL says it is the internet service. The internet service cannot keep up with the download requirements. We have called Cox, our internet service provider and they have no idea what Control 4 is and offer no solution. Cox maintains that our interest service does not skip and that the buffering requirements are not an issue. So we are stuck. Has anyone encountered this situation? If so, how do we fix it?
One question, are you experiencing any dropouts when playing your local music that is playing from the Mac File server?

Anyways, back to the original discussion, Pandora is working very good, played it for hours

A lot of ZB3 presence sensors exists, it require the use of HA as the integration layer then expose these in C4 with HA/C4 driver https://bphillips09.github.io/control4-ha-drivers/
Its in my to do list for a while, just can’t find the time to do it!

There is internationally.. It won't work in Countries such as here in Australia
Use a smartDNS service to get Pandora and some other geolocked contents, it’s straight forward and extremely easy to setup

About Pandora - and unless end user is all-a-go with using VPN etc, Pandora is US only.
Again there is no need to use VPN to get Pandora working, anyways, I had been using Pandora for years till new competitors arrived, most of the time I play Dezzer Flow, my local playlists, some Tidal as well

And this is where everyone is different. Most people could careless about Pandora
Well, I don’t care what most people want. Pandora lovers will praise this, haters will say we need something else

There is a bug in C4 IOS app that send “Basic” Authentication while is should send “Digest”, as I said in IOS, should be fixed soon, no one will ever be able to help without full data, OS version, Cams make and model, anything else is shooting in the dark

I careless about Apple Music, really, wanted Pandora in the mix and I have it now, I don’t use VPN!

ZB3 is a roadmap discussion, timeline is 2024/25, this is most the info everyone knows, if it’s going to be Core or Core/EA is not known and no info will be out at least a quarter before launch.
My suggestions is you go ahead and invest in C4 ZB hardware as it’s reliable as hell, but to delay your purchase for 2 yrs is not advisable, also you can do workaround like ZB3/HA/C4 till its natively supported!

Thanks, I really like the Open Source aspect of HA, although there may be a downside to it if stuff stops getting supported. IMO C4 would be better if they were more open to allowing end users to write drivers, but they make that difficult.
I hate HA really, but it evolved lately and very rapidly in the past couple of years, also it’s backed by 100’s of volunteers, so ZB3 stuff will remain for quite sometime, Tasmota is evolving as well, am using it as an Integration later to C4 till they get this native ZB3 support out, by 2025 EA might be EOL let’s see.

Which C4/HA driver are you using?

I am starting to play around with Sonoff devices flashed with Tasmota. There are some rather old discussions on these forums. What are people using? And how are you using it? Are you using it via MQTT? Or HTTP calls that could be used with something like the @alanchow's Generic TCP driver.
@Amr What are you using?
Anyone else using Tasmota flashed devices?
With Tasmota am using two drivers:
- http control using a T4Control driver that was pulled from DriverCentral, dev never replied to me why they did that!, am using it for single light switches like Sonoff Mini and Shelly
- MQTT control, using Berto.io driver, for any 2 circuits and more strips and for Tuya flashed devices like Diffusers, Curtain controllers, etc and also for all ZB3/RF devices that the driver supports e.g Xiaomi Buttons, Aqara remote, RF buttons, etc.
What are my plans? move everything to HA and use a C4/HA driver to control all devices that is not supported in C4 including hundreds of ZB3 devices!
