You’re right I got it wrong, I thought it’s higher but I was looking to something else, the 2way Audioflow will cost around $202 shipped to US, it will be cheaper than the TriadOne, unless he can get a bargain on a used one on eBay!

Thank you! I will add that to the options list. Probably outside of my price range for now, but I am in no rush to figure out the 9th zone.

Well, I never paid more than $350 a piece including taxes and shipping in US, flow-audio will cost you more than that! Or u go manual switch for 2 adjacent zones!

I have not, was looking for direct network integration.

That’s a near perfect 2 ways integration although it’s one way, never missed a single control from a Control4 UI and works with the original remote as well, C4 gets a feedback if u used the original remote, been serving me for 6 yrs now, Chowmain driver is rock solid, hardware is perfect, I have 16 devices in 3 homes!

I received the new Episode Response 8-zone matrix/amp today and will be rewiring my house this weekend to accommodate it. Right now, I am running an ABUS system into 9 zones. Due to the loss of one zone with the new system, I was planning to not use a zone currently in my backyard but will continue to use the zone on my back patio.

I am trying to brainstorm the best approach to incorporating the 9th zone, either now or in the future. I can also think of two options: Use a speaker switch like the Audio Flow suggested above (which looks awesome) or add an additional two-channel amp to power the 9th zone and send outputs from the Episode Response to inputs on the smaller amp. Since the patio - Zone 8 - and backyard - Zone 9 - are right next to each other, they will always play the same source, which leads me to believe the speaker switch is the best option. However, I am open to other ideas or suggestions.

    Thanks.

TriadOne is your best option here, u can use it as a C4 zone in your 9th zone regardless of its location, it will join any other zone and it’s seamless C4 experience!

All you need is power and you are up and running, it has LAN and WiFi as well, just hook up your speakers pair to it and that’s it, I have 7 Zones, 4 covered by a 4x4 Matrix and 3xTriadOne’s

The last week I’ve been having problems using the app is it just me or is everyone having this problem. I get an error unable to validate your account. Please check email and password and try again (401). My email and password are correct I close app out and it sometimes lets me get in and seems to happen more and more but not always able to get in I tried to uninstall and reinstall same problem

Unfortunately it’s only you, no known IOS or Android app issues are surfaced, we are enjoying a pretty stable release after release, can u check if you have Extend Sync turned on, turn this off, also is this consistent on LAN and Mobile network as well? Is this a new phone? Have your dealer check the status of your controller, u might need a reboot, can’t tell without peaking at it first!

assuming the EA1 is hardwired via ethernet, would i need to have a separate server? wouldn't it act as an extension of the existing network? I am not sure my zigbee is rusty

No it won’t run as an extension, from OS3.3.x u need to have separate ZB servers no more ZAP’s, also it’s not $100 investment it’s more thanzat, unless u go used route …

Have any of you found yourself wanting to integrate Control4 with other home automation systems or custom code, but don't know how to start with driver development?  I have expanded on my HomeKit driver to provide a basic HTTP API for controlling Control4 systems from anywhere, via any system.  With a little software knowledge, you can control an ever expanding list of devices from anywhere you can call a web URL!

For a preview of the driver API, check out this Google Doc: https://docs.google.com/document/d/15csLkkoWDTZ691vxScvGrPdofYB7fSuYdBK6G6m34RM/edit?usp=sharing

The driver is going through some final testing now and I need to finish off the documentation and clean things up a little bit, but it's nearly ready for prime time.  Anybody out there interested?

I’m for sure interested, so this would allows me to control any C4 property from outside, so it’s outwards Control with 2- way feedback, Right? For example I can’t use it to control devices that is unique to the other HA system?

I just added a room (Sauna) to my project which has speakers and will soon have a C4 light switch as well.  However, in the Voice Commands list no matter what I do the Sauna is not showing up as a room.  I have refreshed navigators and all the normal processes but still doesn't show in my Voice Commands list on MyControl4.  Any suggestions?

Did u make the room bindings for the Audio endpoint?

The key word is not pressurized, it's irrigation...  :)

Pressurized irrigation water is provided by the city in a separate system from culinary water.  It's completely untreated, and unfit for drinking.

I clean out my filter pretty much weekly, and there are literally live bugs and grit and dirt in it.

It's pretty hard water as well.

It's not too much of an issue with most sprinklers with the decently good filter (as long as it's cleaned regularly to not have pressure issues), but drip systems tend to clog up frequenly.

The nice thing is it's not metered, and fixed rate.  That said, there are limitations on when you can water and for how long, of course...

    RyanE

In my country they stopped sending Irrigation water to homes, they used it for public parks only, it’s as u exactly described need regular maintenance and cleanup, too much hassle for home owners!

    Hi there.

I am new to Control4. I was wondering can I integrate Aqara A100 in Control4 ZigBee network? If yes, how? Has anyone done anything similar?

    link for aqara:

        https://www.aqara.com/en/product/smart-door-lock-a100-zigbee

    Thanks.

Not directly, only through another Home Automation Solution like HomeAssistant, it’s not a straightforward thing and involves the use of a couple of drivers, better stick to C4 certified solutions that use C4 ZB and have a working driver

I have Spotify up running fine. After a few days I gets a bug where it will repeat 1 song forever.

I start a playlist from either my phone or the saved preset. It plays this song fine but then it plays next a single song forever. In this case it's always big energy.

No matter what I do it's the same. If the driver is removed and put on it runs fine for a few days but then it finally settles on a song and it will never play anything else.

I saw this fix some where but can’t relate! You will need to remove all digital media drivers including Spotify and re-install again, I think it’s a bug that needs real fixing, this workaround might repeat

We are thinking of installing a mini split unit to cool our garage.  What are the best choices if we want to integrate it? Are there specific brands that integrate more easily, or brands to avoid?  Also, what drivers are out there for an application like this?

    Thanks!

Beside the Daikin; one of the best AC units in the market; You can go Sensibo route, it’s not fully two way but it works like a charm, never missed in controlling any of my 6 Split units that is integrated to C4, more over even if u use the original remote it sends its status back to C4. Chowmain driver is super as well and cost will be a fraction of other solutions.
