Their advice is sound. Sounds like something on your computer is blocking the connection. The best i could suggest is to deactivate every possible service and see if you can connect then. Also you could try from another computer.

the proper solution for a non-dimable load would be to use a switch. Depending on the type of load that you have connected to the dimmer it could be pulling too much current and actually damaging the dimmer. If it is going into a short circuit like this it is not going to work and will kill the dimmer.

1) lots of options to do this in programming.
2) can do it in Composer but more intuitively you can do it in the control4 app with the correct os versions.
3) depends if the security system is fully integrated and the proper drivers are there but you should be able to program based on the sensors themselves.
Can also check out our composer home training course as we go over all of these topics in good detail. Can't quite recall if we have a specific video on the eq but i know that we have touched base on it in our videos. might be our next video idea now that i think of it.

I'm bumping this thread to say thanks. The Dimmer Load Group driver is exactly what I needed to solve a very simple problem.
One issue I found with the Dimmer Load Group driver is that it is not compatible with Cold Start. When switching a dimmer on, all of the dimmers will get "stuck" at the cold start value if it is not set to zero. A second press is required to get the dimmer to the default on value for the dimmer.
also, check out the group light driver from @alanchow. It's awesome and will group switches, RGB, TW, and dimmable lights all as one light and figure out what each light gets and how it is affected.
we also did a video on programing it and how to use it.

They haven’t switched ports. But regardless if one is dead it gets rma’d
should be using both ports afaik. but yes it should get rma. i hardly rma any controllers at all for the record.

odd it does have dual networking. both ports have failed?

using string variables can also make it much easier to know what exactly you are working on. Also, make lots of notes. later version of the OS allows for notes in the programming way worth it.
-
may need to update i think it has many more options.
-
it may be something you have to select in the driver properties within composer home or composer pro.

you may be able to just log out of pandora and log back in inside of the control4 app. it would be under the extras tab. If no luck can email me at matthewslowe1@gmail.com

holidays i know its hard for me to know what version is current. but there may be a release newer available to the public.

ok, thanks Mitch. I haven’t used the system since the last update. I remember that going away at some point on my TVs and I was curious if I needed a cheap t3 touchscreen or something to accomplish my goal.
It was not available with os3.0 initially. They have added more to the OSD and continue as they update the experiences.

I think the channel up or down button will get into the app. not elegant but when the tv is selected press the channel up or down button. Might be one of the default options as well just check the driver. There may be a driver already for it as well.

sounds like a power supply failure on the matrix. Sounds like you need to replace the matrix again or at a minimum the power supply.

sounds like maybe your Control4 zigbee network (which is how the remotes communicate to Control4) is messed up for some reason...maybe a controller is down or needs a reboot. I'd be happy to help you out with it if you need remote support, PM me.
very like part of the above. if its a constant issue a reboot may only be a temporary solution. lots of great remote deals to choose from here to help if your local dealer is unable. Myself included.
-
my best solution is shield tv with plex and a complicated macro. It was pretty unreliable and often was unable to play the video through automation and would need to be restarted.
-
In the c4 event, i know that it is not necessary. I would imagine the luma view app is the same. You will need to do all of the setup on the camera and the apps correctly for everything to work.
-
Snap dealer agreements also forbid selling outside of your region so it is best to order from your local dealer. As far as software access you can purchase a composer home license and after your system is configured by a pro you can automate and adjust everything to your heart's content. We offer a Composer home Training course as well on https://www.patreon.com/waltstv to show you how to setup automation for a wide variety of situations and adding more every month.

Didn't hear back on this front - can you program the light color on the essentials switch?
Just on/off, its only a blue led.
-
It can be done but will need a sensor that reports back light levels. can get wonky with lights so will need to spend time programming it or pointing correctly.

you know i thought i remembered seeing a delete button. Currently, you can share any videos that you want easily. Can't comment on whats to come in the future.

-> Can someone confirm that when the client turns off notifications through the Insight/Control4 integration, it doesn't stop the history and recording of events, it just halts the push.
Confirmed they only thing they turn off in the app is the actually push notifications. The history agent does its thing as it does now with compatible cameras and security devices.

If one already has a New NVR LUM-220 or LUM-420 with x20 cameras in the project what does this add besides cloud recordings? Is this intended for customers without an NVR?
Programmless notifications. And video playback in the c4 app
control 4 and change of router in bridge mode

just depends on how everything in the network is configured. You should only have one router in your home network. I would dump the ISP combo and get a modem and router separately. If you don't change anything other than turning off the wifi on the ISP and setting up a new wifi everything should work. If stuff is not working afterwards we would need to know a lot more details or someone will have to log into the project and find out what the issue is. This should be something by a remote dealer connection as well and should not need an on-site visit. It is possible it could be so borked on-site that may be the only way to fix it though. DM if you want me to take a look.
