  1. Hmmm… interesting.  My OSDs are taking much longer to load (after refreshing navigators) on OS3.4.1

    May well be related.

    T4s - 40 seconds (OK but was under 30 seconds on OS3.4.0)

    EA1s - 2 - 5 minutes (compared to under 1 minute on OS3.4.0)

EA5 and core 5 - haven’t tested yet but will.

  2. While we are talking about little bugs on the iOS app, let me add one more that arrived recently.  The presets (PTZ set-points) for camera viewing have disappeared on the iPad app.  If you know where the buttons are, you can still press them but the buttons and text have vanished!  As far as I recall this is an iPad issue only (ie iPhone and touchscreens work fine).

Sorry for hijacking the thread 🙈

The bug in 3.4.1 Composer HE will impact all systems running OS 3.4.1 currently.  The team that works on Composer believes they have found the root cause and they should have a patch out soon.

    Can’t wait!

If only the new remotes had a button that would call for the on-screen display.  Maybe we could make it look like a display...

loads of laughs - I know many people will prefer this… but I like(d) the big red 4… I always told people to use this to get started… I have now put a “watch” button on the lighting keypad at my cinema door and tell them to press this and then follow the menus…

I broke down to 3 groups for each floor of the house but I'm seeing a lag in the response of the rest of the system while the change over to different light is made back to white when garage doors close.  It's odd as it seems when a garage door opens (backlight LEDs go green) no lag.  However, when garage doors close (backlight LEDs go back to white) there seems to be a lag in how the rest of system will respond (ie keypad buttons bound to a light won't trigger light, Alexa commands won't trigger though Alexa says "Ok").

I will try to break up the groups further or decrease the pads turning as I don't know that I need every single keypad in the house to necessarily change to green to indicate a garage door is open....

Sounds like something else is hanging your system when you close the garage door.  Maybe have your dealer check CPU usage when the garage door closes.

Composer HE 3.41 connection bug reported in dealer forum, confirmed by Control4.
Being investigate as a high priority.

    (Pro connection fine)

O no!  Hopefully there will be a quick fix!

Did you just update the app or has your controller been updated?

The improvement seemed to be there with just the app update although I only used the app once or twice before I had the OS update also.

  8. The drivers are in the Modbus Suite of drivers if your dealer downloads this from Driver Central.  While the main Modbus driver itself is a paid (licenced) driver, the other drivers in this download are free (extra) drivers and that includes the single setpoint thermostat driver.

  9. This will work.  I would use (and do use for similar things) a Yatun Single setpoint thermostat driver (this is now a HopSoft driver) and connect it to the Z2IO this gives you normal thermostat control and you can choose your hysteresis in the driver.  I think you need a connector driver between the Yatun and the Z2IO.  All these drivers are free.

  10. As @C4 User says, most of this is possible (and there are usually various ways of doing it).

Grouping sensors - some security system drivers do this for you.  Failing this, use the Domosapiens security enhancements driver which allows you to create something like 20 (may even be more) different sensor groups.

Timers - what you describe can be done with simple programming or use the Domosapiens Advanced Lighting Timer driver.  I have never used the latter (as I set up my own programming before this driver existed) but people rave about it and I have been meaning to try it out for ages.

Screens - you will need a separate motion sensor to accomplish what you want.  You can then program the screen to jump to a given camera when motion is sensed.
