Where did you see the update?

I have both also of you haven’t purchased.

I did. I dumped Philips for TP-Link. For the life of me I could not position the Philips bridge so that all would function. No luck. Seems like the TP-Link stuff works great so far.
Gotcha. It’s definitely spotty for some but the motion sensors work well of you have good zigbee coverage.

You were right. They are actually Zigbee and require a router. So, I have to rethink this. I’m looking for a sensor to fire some lights (ie walk into the kitchen at night).
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkDo you have Philips Hue in your project?

Gotcha. If they work as well as the smart plugs then they should be great. Mine have been flawless.

That’s awesome! I appreciate it!

They are zigbee or WiFi? I can’t see how they will work if they are zigbee.

Any Hub-based systems are a total miss and you are on your own, drivers that never updated, outages that never explained etc. C4 is the best among Pro Systems cause it works and you can have a bit of freedom programing automations and scenes not like Crestron, Savant, etc.
And to strengthen that statement... another DIY platform is shutting down. This time it’s from the folks at Best Buy.

I know this is an older thread but did anyone have any luck?

Mine went bad last week also. Seems there was a problem with the driver.

Despite having a Control4 system, I am still a big fan of Savant. There is a fair amount of customization that the customer can do. Having said that, it works with far less products and certainly doesn’t offer the type of freedom that Composer HE does. If you want DIY, stay in that genre. My advice is that once you’ve lived with the DIY solution and figure out exactly what it is you want to control, ditch that setup and invest in a Control4 system. The reliability alone is worth the extra money. I wouldn’t go back.

I left hubs like Smartthings and Vera and have not looked back. While it can do a lot of things that you are already doing, it’s terribly frustrating to have most of your automations dependent on the cloud. I had so many outages that my wife was ready to throw the things out the window.

Anyone care to share their favorite custom icon for a popcorn maker? Mine is just a light bulb right now.

The TP-Link driver and devices have been solid. Can’t beat the price. I’m using an outdoor and indoor model.

Out of curiosity, what controller are you using?

This really isn't happening for anyone else? App loads in OS3 are just as fast as they were in OS2 for you all?
My load times are definitely longer than they used to be. Especially when I’m on the network at home.

Can you just load Google Play store and do it now? Or does the Amazon version of the app have any benefit?

The Image from the CCTV - Doorstation comes on no problem - Goes to our Hikvsion Camera 1080 and it will not show - Say resolution is too high.
We have HC800 Running Director and couple of EA1 and we was thinking of upgrading the HC800 for EA5 so we could get the Camera pop up on the screen when the Sensors
are triggered,
Are dealer can not get a answer out of C4
I’m having the same issue. Plus the iOS app is still force closing when I try to open a camera.

Very true, except a Ring Door Bell doesn't cost $1k and require you to cut into your brick, cedar, aluminum siding.
It also doesn’t allow for video feed in the app. That was a super important piece for my household. If you only want to program off of motion or doorbell press, them the Ring would be fine I guess.
-
Please do. There wasn’t much interest because it never worked. There is more use case for it then people think.

That’s a great price!

Does the Apple Watch C4 app work consistently for anyone?
It’s been crap for a long time. And so has the camera feed in iOS devices. It’s pretty disappointing.
