Very basic question...how can I update the Halo Screen time? It is two hours behind EST?

Ah yes, to add a HALO your system will need to be on the current OS 3.3.2.xxxxxxx
You cannot update yourself, though your dealer, or any of the remote dealers on here should you wish to reach out, can start the update remotely - a site visit isn't a requirement as such.
NOW - here's to hoping you don't have an HC800 in there.....
Any dealer want to help me out? I will pay.

System is up to date?

I assume not. My app says I am on 3.2.3.606460-res(Sep 13 2021). If this is not updated, can I update the system myself? I also have Composer Home Edition.

I am trying to add the Halo Remote, however when I scan the QR code on the Halo Remote it does not appear in my "app" to add per the instructions? Thoughts anyone?

I'm taking pre-orders from my clients but we aren't able to purchase yet.
Ok, if you sell to non-clients then let me know. In the meantime, I will check with local dealers in my area.

I believe @chopedogg88is pre ordering. Right now no exact release date has been announced
@chopedogg88 is this true?

So that you don't have to buy a Josh nano/micro for that room if you already have the remote. or if you already had one in the room, the remote might tend to hear you better especially if there is some background noise, since its presumably within arm's distance of your mouth.
When can I buy the Halo? it said Q4, however no specific date. Any dealers selling on here? $500 is not bad at all.

If you have all the channels stuff setup properly already and you can see them in the app, then you can favorite them to the room to show on Neo. If you don't, then you may need a dealer to set it up
Ok, my channels are not setup. Can channels be setup using composer home edition?

Must your dealer add "channels" to the Neeo Remote? or is this something I can do with my Neo remote? I also have Control 4 home edition.

Which processor do you have?
If your system wasn’t being updated, it’s likely your project has been corrupted and the processor is failing to boot and stuck in a boot loop.
the flashing lights indicates a factory restore is happening.
I’ve had processors do this in the past and they’ve needed to be replaced / Rma’d.
you could try a network reset.
To reset the controller network settings to the default:
1 Disconnect power to the controller.
2 While pressing and holding the ID button on the back of the controller, reconnect power to the controller.
3 Hold the ID button until the data, link and power LEDs are solid blue, then immediately release the button.
4 If the caution LED stays orange during the boot sequence, press and hold the ID button until the caution LED blinks blue, and then release it.
Thanks
Muj
Sadly, still flashing Red.
I have a C4-EA3.....how much does a replacement cost?

Any suggestions, will not connect. I have tried unplugging and resetting my router.

I am pretty sure the DirecTV box is being controlled by the network.

Any insights, Control 4 is working fine with everything...but I can't get it to control my DirecTV anymore. I am baffled.

If I am replacing a damaged SR260...Can I set it up with Home Edition? or must I get a professional to set-up the replacement?

I completely agree, if you don't like it don't buy it. If you are happy with your 250/260/phone/tablet etc just use that. No one was forced to upgrade remotes.
And it’s OK to have expectations from a company as well. I’m never going to settle! We are being critical because the competition is on the cutting edge and have been for a while now. We like Control4 and that is why we post because we want the best and not sloppy seconds

You're intentionally misquoting me, and making some big (and incorrect) assumptions.
I'm done in this thread.

Yup. That's totally worth the extra $300. Flash and RAM is super expensive these days. C'mon.
But one questions remains unanswered by C4. Why did C4 intentionally remove the replaceable battery? Is it not to further screw the unlucky souls who have decided to beta test your $600 "new" remote? I'll give my guess. Tell me if this rings true. C4 did not do any hardware development at all with Neeo. All of the alleged improvements C4 has been touting as new, were already in the so-called "Neeo Pro" that Neeo developed before they were bailed out by C4. My guess is prior to the acquisition, Neeo decided to remove that feature, probably because they were unquestionably an ego-driven, poorly-run company that didn't give a shit about their customers, which incidentally is why they needed to be bailed out by C4 in the first place. So C4 takes the Neeo Pro releases it unchanged, and as a consequence, we end up with a half-baked product.
So why didn't C4 fix the hardware? I mean how hard could it be to add backlighting? Well because they needed to focus on the software. It wasn't easy to port Neeo over to C4, and releasing new hardware would only complicate that. So they made a decision, as RyanE conceded. Release hardware they know has drawbacks (i.e. is shitty), with the hopes that a few suckers will buy it and be beta testers for the software. So there you have it--that's how we ended up with C4's "new" remote.
So what do I predict is going to happen? Well per RyanE's earlier post, C4 will release some new remote (likely sooner than later (although admittedly he is not saying that)). The new remote is going to be super expensive. Can you even imagine how expensive if $300 only buys you some extra flash and RAM?
Per quotes I have been reading, $600 is not expensive and we should be thankful that it’s not more expensive like its competitors..I guess I should keep quiet and say thank you Control4 for this product. However, there is some saying on this thread that Control4 will update this remote(software, etc). So I will go back to being thankful and keep quiet, as us commoners should do. I’m positive that Control4 will reach out to us users to ask for feedback...while I wait for that I will continue to play the lottery..which has a better chance?

$600 is not a lot of money for a touch screen remote. I recall some of the Phillips pronto touch screen remotes which we all loved where more then that. Control4 is not for the Low budget users.
Welp, that sums it up. I guess I was asking for too much out of a $600 dollar remote. I guess my expectation can be warranted once it is over 1k or more. I will go back to Harmony Remote with the common folk.

My remote still is on MST. The remote is working fine....just a little annoyed on the MST on the face.
