Chuck - do you still have the. eA5 and what are you asking for it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
2. I have been running an Orbi mesh network and had been having some fairly strange issues that are irrelevant now since I’m swapping the network out. Some pretty wise people here have been so awesome since I joined and have suggested I look at more C4 compatible solutions (Thank you always to msgreenf dcovach & dawngordon, just to name a few... you guys make this forum one of the best forums I’ve ever been a part of - and I know there are many others that are also so generous with their time and expertise). That out if the way, I have a central rack room for all of my a/v equipment, C4 Director and automation hubs. I have a NETGEAR - Nighthawk 32 x 8 DOCSIS 3.1 Voice Cable Modem as my modem (I wanted to own my equip so I could control my DHCP table and I also needed dial tone, so this is the only modem that will allow that by Comcast). I pay for the fastest internet they offer. The modem now feeds internet to the Orbi and a D-Link 24 Port Gigabit Switch (DGS-1024D). I have an Orbi satellite (not hardwired). So... I just bought 4 Pakedge WX-1’s. Four should be overkill, but I’d rather be over than under. My home is 2800 very cut up SF at the ground floor with an 800sf loft over 1/3 of it. Can someone lend me their expertise on best practice for setting up this network. The Orbi’s will be sold. I don’t want to swap out my D-Link (just a hassle, but I can), I assume I’ll need a Pakedge router (RK?)... switch? (I need 24 ports). I’m really ignorant to this whole access point situation. I am willing to spend whatever it takes to setup the best possible network utilizing my existing modem and the new WX-1’s. I’ll also be separately posting regarding my security system, fireplace, garage, motion sensors etc. Dawn & Mitch have suggested some products that they have integrated well. My research of their suggestions has led to more questions. I’ll post that all separate. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
3. That said, here’s perhaps some good news ( I hope :/ ). I purchased 4 lightly used fully updated Pakedge WX-1’s last night. I’ve got a bunch of cabling to run anyway (for added speakers, touch pads, etc) so I’m going to add 3 to my home. That doesn’t solve the current mystery however. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
4. Hi All - I am getting the 403 error when I login to the forum over my Wi-Fi network. I have no issue with logging in via Tapatalk or Safari using the cellular data network. This started this morning. Any ideas? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
5. The Fujitsu model is ASU9RLF. I’m told you have to use their thermostat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
6. I'm unfortunately having to add a mini-split system to better acclimatize my home. My HVAC guy likes this Fujitsu product. I have been reading the forum and doing some research. I don't have a definitive out of the box answer yet. But I do see discussions about a chowmain driver, a sensibo add on, etc. Any one have any thoughts. I want to fully integrate it into C4. I am trying to get the model number right now.
7. OK, for Instance, I want to create the circle type icon menu in C4 OSD. I can't for the life of me figure out where to do that. In agent, I can create favorites, wallpaper, etc.
8. Thanks guys. Yes, agent is available in HE and I am using OS 3.0, so I'll take a look.
9. Yes, thank you. I was able to reorder, hide, etc. I am trying to customize my onscreen display and app layout. There is a way in HE?
10. I posted about trying to find the programming area in ComposerHE for the remote WATCH/LISTEN keys, and was directed to it. I'm trying to find a way to change the layout of the OSD and App now and again don't see it in Composer HE? Any help would be greatly appreciated. It's probably right in front of me. Thanks, Rich
11. I came into the office this morning and there was the Director. Who knows when it found it, but it's really strange.
12. While I love the features of the DS2, I don’t have a real good way to mount it properly. I have a stone face on my entry and there’s not even much room with that, let alone cabling (beyond original LV cabling). So I guess I might be waiting for something to come out that will better integrate and add features. As for the garage door, I’m interested in the myQ solution. I’ve had others say they’ve been successful, but if the Z2io is the way, then that’s what I’ll do. AP’s - see below. I have to run some additional speaker cable in the attic, so I was going to drop a few T3 CAT’s. I can certainly run a few for on ceiling AP’s. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
13. Can anyone recommend a door station that if full featured and integrates nicely? I have a Nest Hello and don’t think I can do much with that. I am looking to do a picture in picture or the likes when it rings. Also a garage door solution? I am looking at myQ for that so far. Lastly, I am having a local alarm system company install a system. I meet with them on Thursday. I have a cat in the house, so they won’t do motion detectors. (I know there are some out there that recognize the difference). I want to be able to utilize the door contacts for other routines. Any particular contacts I’d want them to use? It has to be wireless. The main board will integrate, I already made that a requirement and a C4 friend is going to be speaking with them before I commit. Lastly, Some if you know I have a pretty lame network, so far as working nicely with C4 (Netgear Orbi). I want to get away from mesh and do WAPs behind each TV since I have spare Cat6 runs. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
14. Thank you! I seriously may have taken a week to find that.
15. And... I spoke too fast. Logged out and back in... no Director populates. Really quite puzzling. I don't know how to isolate this. Is it the remote connection, the license, the EA-5. It's just beyond me. I left it logged in at the office last night, came in this morning and there was the Director. Clicked and connected. Logged out and voila!... can't get back in.
16. Clean Uninstall and reinstall of HE. I am able to access remotely now. I will check my local access tonight.
17. I have two SR260 remotes and the C4 OS3.0 apps on my system. Am I able to reorder or program the WATCH & LISTEN buttons with Composer HE? I am at a complete loss. I've read everything I can get my hands on to no avail.
18. I will try a second computer. I was able to access through my office desktop remotely last week, but have not tried since Friday. A friend of mine logged in this morning remotely. I had a suspicion this might be a firewall or like issue. I’ll let you know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
19. As far as I can see. Yes. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
20. I am running OS 3.0 as well. And YES, I experience the same thing with my TiVo Bolts. The situation above was different. But I do see the same thing you’re experiencing with OS 3.0. Everything (drivers) are all current, and it didn’t happen with OS 2. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
21. Update - TiVo control magically reappeared. Sorry for the misfire. Still however - Neither Composer HE or ME can connect to my Director locally or remotely. Shows the error “Cannot Connect to Director 192.168.1.150” I don’t think I’m the only one with this issue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
22. Per my earlier post regarding not being able to connect to my EA5 via Composer, I have been troubleshooting that on my own to no avail. In so doing, I have rebooted my network, reinstalled Composer and power cycled my EA5. Now... I’ve lost control of a TiVo on the system. I’m not sure why it dropped out. It’s very frustrating. All of this. I can’t even login to look at it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
23. Good morning all. Getting this error when attempting to login to my Director via Composer HE. “Cannot Connect to Director 192.168.1.150” Yesterday I piggybacked a post by@abigroot with this issue. Has anyone been able to resolve? Cannot Connect remotely either. Director does not populate in remote session when trying to connect remotely. OS correct, HE Correct. Rebooted EA5, did not resolve. Uninstalled HE Updated Windows 10 Reinstalled HE Still Same Error Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
