  1. I have to agree with this. Without giving too much detail the dealership I used to work with was directly involved with gettingthis partnership to fruition (the C4 / Sonos partnership, not SnapAV / Sonos). These issues were brought up to both sides on numerous occasions. Lots of talk no resolution. And how much further can you go with getting the right people involved if its the top people?
  2. Best recommendation I can make, get these batteries: https://www.amazon.com/Energizer-Ultimate-Lithium-Batteries-Pack/dp/B0023T8OUY/ref=sr_1_7?crid=N6ACW8K4KWDM&keywords=energizer+ultimate+lithium+aa&qid=1569599983&s=gateway&sprefix=energizer+ultimate+%2Caps%2C145&sr=8-7 You'll get a solid 2 years out of those batteries. And that's with everyday activation of the mechanical lock (at least twice a day). Compared to regular Duracells you'd be lucky to get 6 months.
  3. Amazing! And if you need any feedback/testing feel free to lmk. Really appreciate you guys not forgetting about OS2.
  4. Definitely appreciate these updates. I was worried the 2.10 app would be forgotten. The bugs I noticed is the Listen app icon not showing, the app not readjusting from Portrait, to Landscape, to Portrait again. And if you set the passcode on the App and lock it with TouchID, after a day or so when you go to the app it insta-crashes. Deleting the app and re-adding the system without setting a passcode with TouchID fixes the issue. So I've just left the passcode off for now.
  5. There's an action button that will spit out the battery level in the LUA output. But I'll give you a better method, because all you really want to know is when the battery is going to die. Go into programming, and you can program off the action "When Battery is Low". Have it send an e-mail alert when that happens. That's what I do for my Kwikset.
  6. Sonos & Control4 created a parternship back around 2016. Sonos would release an API and Control4 would make the driver. That went no where in terms of integration (in fact, many will argue the integration took a step back when they removed input switching that allowed a group of Sonos devices to act as a matrix, aka the switch from the HTTPS driver to the API driver). Sonos never bothered to add to the API to bring back features of the old driver that many dealers asked for, essentially leaving them out in the dust. Another bad example, Control4 still haven't modified the Sonos drivers for recent products that have been out for more than a year (2nd gen Amp and Beam). Those devices have two separate inputs that the driver doesn't know how to differentiate which causes its own issues. Don't know if Sonos is to blame for not adding it to their API or Control4's fault for never periodically checking for API changes with drivers they developed and implementing (Control4's driver development is a whole different soapbox I'm not going to get on at this time). In short, don't hold your breath.
  7. You just replied to a post from 2009... Holy Necro Batman!
  8. Make sure the Zigbee card installed in the broken one matches the cards in the working one. Maybe they sent you one lock with an incompatible Zigbee card.
  9. I love my Sonos Beam, but for the setup you have you want the Playbar. The Beam would look silly under a TV that large.
  10. A couple of people reached out to me for instructions on how to Identify the EcoGuard outlet so I scanned the document that came in the box and have attached it to this post. Please excuse the quality, the paper was creased from being packed in the box. Also I took a closer look at my idea for being able to see the power usage on the outlets without going into Composer and its just not possible. While there is a programming action to Read Meter there is no where to "point" the output. And there are no variables available besides LIGHT_STATE to check for changes. Which brings me to my final observation. The only driver available for it definitely needs some work. I'm on 2.10.6 and from my iOS app when you view the light it always appears Off even though its On. Tapping it makes the UI catch up and then it toggles correctly from there, until you leave the room and go back in. It's a c4i file so if I ever get bored maybe I'll poke around to figure it out. But for my usage it really isn't a big deal. Telkonet EcoGuard Outlet Installation Guide.pdf
  11. This is all Apple’s fault with their shitty IP integration that necessitated this even shittier new version of the IP driver for Gen 4 AppleTVs. Not sure why it’s Control4’s fault or responsibility to warn customers about a third party product that the customer may/may not own. Not to mention when the new IP driver was released they recommended everyone switch over ASAP as they would have no idea if/when Apple decided to kill it off functionality of the old IP driver. Your anger is misdirected, this is all Apple’s fault.
  12. 4sight, VPN, or don't bother. If you're as much as a novice if you need help with the port forwarding, then you most likely don't know that there is an extremely common password on the equipment that most dealers do not change If you open this device to the Internet via Port Forward or DMZ, I guarantee it'll get hacked (or be enticing enough for someone to keep hammering away at it).
  13. My guess is the main point of this unit is to handle a larger processor load and provide redundancy. Redundancy being the bigger factor in regards to I/O. There's no way to make the I/O redundant, so that's most likely why it was left off the CA-10. Besides, the projects that are large enough to *require* a CA-10 most likely have plenty of I/O spread out across all devices besides the primary director. Finally, to keep costs down. These conversations are like deja vu when the HC-1000 was announced. When everyone realized the performance boost the HC-1000 provided, the lack of I/O was completely forgiven and forgotten. Those complaining about no I/O on a CA-10 just don't get the product's purpose.
  14. A WattBox that's gone flaky? That NEVER happens!
  15. I was talking about the Telkonet driver. I personally have not used the TP-Link outlet or Alan's driver for it.
  16. There is a "Read Meter" action within Composer for that driver that will output the usage on the individual outlets. However, there's no way to post it to the UI. Maybe it's possible to make a custom button that fires that action and e-mails the output to a destination? Not elegant, but would be functional. EDIT: Maybe take this a step further for those with touchscreens, pasting the metered outlet output to a screen pop via a custom button?
  17. I’ll take a look but IIRC the energy monitoring features it has aren’t really functional to Control4. I think the only way to pull that data is thru the WebUI of the Telkonet EcoCommander. You might want to check out what LollerAgent said.
  18. Two more things to note.... 1) This thing is deep. So if you have a lot of wires in the gang box, get ready to battle with getting it to fit in. It probably has another cm at least on a standard C4 Keypad Dimmer. 2) The LEDs are on if the outlet on. So if the outlet is in a visible spot, this can be a nuisance (doesn't bother me, but I remember my light sensitive customers who would have a fit if they saw this). I could have sworn the driver I used previously gave the ability to shut the LEDs off regardless of the outlet status, however the driver I posted earlier does not provide that options. I might have a copy of the driver that has this feature, but it'll take me some time to search it out. I will update if I find it.
  19. There was one being sold by Telkonet on Amazon. I was really shocked to see it and grabbed it immediately. Came from their warehouse in WI.
  20. This further confirms my feelings on Axxess. They had really awesome looking products that were just always plagued with some kind of issue. Like when that firmware was around that it was draining the batteries in the Motion Detectors that you couldn't find anywhere, that was always a real treat. Or when the Dimmer module would decide to put on a spark show even though there was no short or over wattage issues... That damn doorbell too.....
  21. The EcoGuard worked! Attached is a copy of the driver. The instructions to identify were also in the box on a printed paper (hold the join button for about 10 seconds and release when the top LED starts to rapidly blink red). I got really lucky that coincidentally a single EcoGuard was available on Amazon this week: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VN8CZPQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Thanks again for the help all! 22. I’ll keep this in mind if I have a problem with the EcoGuard. I was trying to avoid buying hardware and software. If the EcoGuard works it’ll be cheaper in the long run. Only problem I foresee is me forgetting the identification process on these and I can’t find the addendum for connecting it directly to Control4. I think it has a weird tap sequence, not your typical 4 tap.
  23. Get ready to laugh... Holidays are coming, this time around I’d like to have my Christmas tree on schedule with the rest of the lighting system instead of me constantly forgetting to unplug the tree. Lights in the tree are LED. Don’t know if Axxess makes a switch version but I’ve also had experiences with the dimmer version that made me stay away from them going forward.
  24. LOL yep that's what I figured from my day worth of searching, but wanted to make sure. By chance I did another search for a Telkonet EcoGuard after the initial post and found one for sale on Amazon. It's on the way. Also found the C4 driver on the dealer forums. When I get everything done I'll follow-up on here with the results and a copy of the driver. Thanks!
