Assuming that you are using an amp like a C4/Triad 4 zone or 8 zone, try turning the GAIN control screw all the way down on one zone and see if it cures the problem in that zone. If so, there's your answer, and you can turn it back up to whatever level you like, before the buzzing is audible.
But, as already noted, it could be a ground loop or a power cable that's running too close to a badly shielded audio cable etc.

i thought you implied only some.
i'd definately remove all inputs to the amp....see if they still buzz.
then i'd check volume levels.
It's a little harder, but also confirm only one speaker per terminal.
lastly remove all but one.
good luck!

It could be the amp, cables, a grounding issue, or the source. I would unplug all the audio cables coming into the amp and see if it goes away. If not it's an amp or grounding issue with the amp. If it does go away it's likely a bad cable or source, which you should be able to track down by plugging things back in one by one.

Sounds like a grounding loop. Is the Amp plugged into a seperate outlet than the source devices. If so, try plugging everything into the same outlet.

I think you hit the nail on the head, always work with a reputable dealer at least there is true accountability to C4 that way.

Hi everyone, I contacted control4 and they confirmed via the serial numbers the amp and audio matrix were first sold to a dealer in 2013! 8 years old!
He claims he didnt know it was old products! (hes not a C4 expert)
I have spoken to the company who installed it and they are due back today to install a new triad amp, audio matrix and controller.
I am very luckily the amp didnt work otherwise I may not have worked out this was very old stock.
I have learnt a valuable lesson, only use authorised dealers!

The Smart Home Pro will always be a 'dealer' in Control4 vocabulary. It's possible that someone other than that dealer (or their staff) actually programmed your system (a subcontracted programmer for example), but unlikely.
I'd be having a word with the AV company that you mentioned as well. Especially if you actually paid them for this 'dealer's' work.

Most likely what Control4 calls a "sideways" deal where they frown on
And with good reason and we see here in this case

Matt Mackenzie reacted to Double D in Is there a known problem with 8 zone amps?
There is a HUGE issue with AMP 108s. The early batches have a nearly 100% failure rate eventually. There is a defective part inside them. If you have your dealer call C4 about the bad amp, they will give you a new Triad PAMP 8 zone amp for the cost of the repair and return of the AMP108.
