Lennox iComfort Wifi Driver

Hi all,

I have a Lennox iComfort Wifi in my Master Bedroom.  There's a HouseLogix driver for it but I wanted to take this opportunity to see if I can write a complicated driver.

Is there a 'competitive' market for drivers in the Control 4 world?  I don't want to step on any toes.

Russell.

Houselogix has been dead since SnapAV bought them. I wouldn't worry too much about them being mad that someone else write a driver that they dont support or really sell anymore.

>0.0% chance that someone at control4 gets bored and brings those into the fold, though unlikely imo.

Good luck, have fun.

Thanks.  Well with part-time work I've learned Python and LUA.  I have a driver that can read the thermostats, get the values, poll for changes.  Need to add saving the values back, then prettying it up and then testing.  Does Control4 purchase third-party drivers to include in their offering?

my situation is a new construction home where the HVAC guys are planning on using Lennox ComfortSense 7500 and 5500 touchscreen thermostats.  Anyone know if Control4 thermostats can work with Lennox?  or does it depend on some specifics of the system?  They need humidity management and this appears to have it.

Ditto +1. I have a project coming up with HVAC insisting to use their iComfort S30 WiFi thermostats connected to their Lennox air handlers. Looking at the forum, there seems to be interest but nobody capable of making this work. The S30 is Alexa, Google Home, Apple Homekit & IFTTT capable so the API is available - just needs someone in the same wheelhouse and an account over at DriverCentral.
