Intercom Anywhere on iPad or iPod touch

Hello,

Does anyone know how to get the intercom anywhere app or functionality working on an iPad?  It is not available in the App Store even when searching for iPhone only apps. It doesn’t need to work outside of the house but it does need the same functionality of being able to communicate and see the person at the door as well as unlock.

As a fail-back, would an iPod touch work?

You can set up the Linphone app to do this.  A number of us used (played with) Linphone before Intercom Anywhere came on the scene.  It certainly works for iPads on the local network.

There are other threads on this forum detailing how one sets it up.

i understand it is because there is no phone function in Ipad (indeed). Therefore a linphone App could make it. But i am not good enough for that. Where can i find explantions ? thanks

Great place indeed.  I no longer have the documentation for Linphone integration but suspect that @Gary Leeds UKor @msgreenfmay well have this.

To be clear: this is a backdoor to make it work inside the house/within your home network, this doesn't work outside the house (as in it doesn't do 'intercom anywhere' - but it does do intercom in the house).

Honestly I couldn't be bothered: just have it call your phone - but to each there own.

It does not really work on Ipad - You need Lenovo Smart Tab M8
