tdougray
Over this festive period I have had several people come round and think its funny to start pressing buttons activating all sorts of stuff and to be honest ive had enough of it. Last night we had maybe 30 people round having a bit of a party when someone decides its a good idea to hit the "nightime" button Basically killing everything downstairs etc. I do have a party experience button that was setup for me and was wondering if I could add some programming so when it is pressed/active certain buttons are inactive. If so what would be the best way to attack this?
msgreenf
you would set a variable Party MOde started = true and then you would have to program every button If party mode != True >>exectute commands Then when party mode is disabled set party mode started = false sonic30101, Time2Jet and tdougray

What action would I use to do nothing? would it be stop? Ie if party mode true then stop, else....

Aayush Arya
Also, it's always a good idea to have your dealer program the really destructive functions on the keypad (like a nighttime function that turns off everything on another floor) to activate only upon pressing a non-intuitive combination of buttons (pressing and holding two buttons on the keypad simultaneously for three seconds, for instance, or double pressing and holding a button).Sent from my SM-G970F using Tapatalk

Every day is a learning day and what is so glaring obvious for one can be so oblivious for another.
South Africa C4 user
Yeah, I use press and hold programming for things like fireplaces and panic buttons. But the end user can do the programming to (in HE) not just a dealer.

If you’re calling a macro from a bunch of places, you can go add the conditional to the macro. tdougray and msgreenf
