Spotify is limited in that you can start it locally and it'll keep streaming should you leave and not start something new on your phone. But you can't start it remotely. Other music options (Deezer, Tidal, Amazon, SiriusXM etc) are fully run on the system, so you can use the app remotely to start anything you want from there.
