C4tune
My time capsule suddenly became unreachable to control4. Need a new storage device. 1 tb would be plenty. Any used gear would also be appreciated. Not for a customer.

Currently I am using a larger 4 bay NAS from Synology and using WD drives in the Synology box.
Matt Lowe
I have a windows machine running an i3 in a mini nas box. looking to sell. Windows 10 is tricky to run nas operations from. however if you are good with linux it made for an awesome freenas box.
zaphod
Build your own using any old PC hardware and unRAID as your OS.

If it can use my pop box as a renderer than I would love to know how much you would like for it.

I am not versed in Linux, nor anything like it. I need a simple NAS. The time capsule was so handy until my novice ass could not figure out how to reinitiate connection. RAV
Best Synology or Qnap if it's for backup, a Dual 6TB Raid setup is about $500. Buffalo if it's for convenience and the data is also backed up elsewhere, under $200.

I would at least look for a 2-disk NAS and run RAID1 (mirroring across the drives - protects you from a single disk failure).

LollerAgent
I would do RAID for anything you care about losing. Disks fail.. all of them do. NOTE: RAID is NOT a replacement for backups.
