flikfoto
Is there any known issue with multiple shields in a C4 system. I just added a second one to my system with IRUSB and now when I select a source in the original room the new rooms shield starts up and also goes to the same source. Both shields have different IP adresses as well as the IRUSBs. I am using a VRX020 as a VMM. Any suggestions? Thanks! Frank
Cbell
Not that I'm aware of. I have video storm and (4) Nvidia shields all with IRUSBs which operate independently of each other without interference. What driver are you using. Is it Chowmains IRUSB driver or Vs..?Sent from my LM-V350 using Tapatalk
eggzlot
No issues here. I have the same set up. 020 running the project. 2 shields and also 3 VTX010s too. Ir usb on the shields. No issues.
flikfoto
I was using one Chowmain Driver and the other 2 VS. I have since switched to all VS drivers. I am still experiencing the same issues. My VMM is a VRX020. I was wondering if I need to specify the IR DevID in the Sink Setup screen?

He seems to chime in to help people with Netplay set ups @videostorm may have some ideas too. If you send some screen shots of what you are asking I can review at home re: my set up; I just have some busy nights coming up and would not be available to really check until Wednesday or Thursday

Frank think you need to use unique mini drivers for each or it will trigger both. msgreenf
flikfoto
Thanks Matt. Come to find out Control4 has a fix for it. It was because I was sending the Audio from those TVs (via Optiocal out of TV) back to my CMX Audio Matrix. If you are doing it this way C4 has you add a C4 Local Souurce Driver to each room doing this and it corrected the problem. Thanks for your reply. One other thing I am experiencing with the Shields is the first source I select always gives me a black screen. I need to select another source first then back to the original source I wanted for it to work correctly. I do not have that issue with my VRX's just the TVS with Shields. Thanks! Your last point is hdmi handshake. I send an auto command to refresh the input or something along those lines after 15 seconds
lippavisual
When you use the latest driver, you need to program “restart stream” when the room turns on. Thats why you get the black screen. eggzlot

Download the latest driver from VS website. May need dealer to install. After that, go to programming, select Netplay driver under actions (right side). Scroll to bottom and select "device specific commands". In the dropdown box, restart stream is towards the bottom.
