smd_usa
Looking for a recommendation, I need a HDMI 4k Switch (5x1 or 6x1) for a Control4 bedroom. My C4 guy recommended Atlona which seems fine EXCEPT they dont support HDCP 2.2 or higher (only 1.4) which is a problem for me. I am looking for a reliable quality type switcher that can be controlled by Control 4 where I wont have problems. I appreciate any recommendations. TylerMRoach
This is the best way. Each end point is independant so your lowest quality tv will not bring the whole matrix down to its level. You can also start small and add one at a time. https://www.snapav.com/shop/en/snapav/search/media-over-ipSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That would be uber expensive for no reason.

smd_usa
Thanks to the entire group for the suggestions to the question above, I appreciate your expertise! I have a follow up question: Are there any downsides if I used a Denon AVR-S650H AV Receiver in the room as my switcher? I dont need the AV receiver function but this has the 5 - 4k HDMI inputs and is also HDCP 2.3 compliant and it is also pretty affordable solution at about $400 MSRP. The best solution I have found for a switch is an 8x2 high end switch that runs about $1200. Thanks
Amr
The Denon will work just fine!
istreich
Have you looked at the Monoprice HDMI switches? Cheap and in my experience, have always worked well. I know they have 5x1 HDCP 2.2 models. https://www.monoprice.com/category/adapters,-switches,-&-splitters/audio-video-distribution/audio-video-switches A good installer will program your Control4 quickly to enable full control via IR.
