C4S
Looking for cost effective options to wirelessly transmit 4 gaming consoles to 4 TVs. I think having a 1:1 relationship between console and TV will likely be fine, but matrix abilities could be a bonus. The consoles will be at the back of the room with the A/V receiver and C4 controller and the TVs will be at the font of the room flanking a projector screen. Thanks. Cyknight
There aren't any. Wireless video transmission is iffy at best, and only (truly, consistently) reliable at huge cost - and even then you would NOT want to do it for gaming, the delay would ruin the experience. azkid
agree if you are trying to play competitive FPS but for racing or other type games or just casual play the delay wont be a deal breaker. I use this amazon link with success in my theater room even though the console is in a bedroom. We also have one in our living room that connects to a tv in the kitchen so my wife can watch what we are watching while she cooks and there is no audio delay which would be annoying since you would be able to hear it if they weren't in sync. C4S
Ok thanks. Mostly sports type games, but the understand how the the delay could be an issue. May be cheaper, easier, and better to just have a separate console connected to each TV and mount the console on the wall behind the TV. zaphod
Can't you run one HDMI cable to your TV? After all, TVs are never truly wireless as they need a power cable.
C4S
The TV is on the opposite side of the room on the first floor of a two story house. So running an hdmi from one side to the other would be extremely difficult/painful. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

C4S
Nada. I could run Cat6 from tech closet upstairs through attic down exterior wall and punch throw to TV, but not certain I want to do that. You try steering a racing game with a 50ms delay and see how well it goes. And you're likely looking at closer to 200-300 ms delay at the best of times. Now if you're playing a turn based strategy game, sure, or party games, maybe. 7 hours ago, azkid said: there is no audio delay which would be annoying since you would be able to hear it if they weren't in sync Sure, because they are both delayed equally. Neo1738
Honestly best solution is Fiber HDMI cables, bite the bullet and do it. Don't have to worry about latency, don't have to worry about wireless, etc. Sucks to hard wire but if you are going to anyway do it right. I wouldn't do Matrix or Balun over Cat cable for gaming.
