OK another noob question - Apple TV icon

Recommended Posts

Use Jesse Smith's IR driver.  It's better than the 'official' one, and has a nice shiny icon.  Don't change the name of the file when you download it, as that screws up the icon.

I don't have a link to it to hand, but it's free.

He IS using the driver, and yes it SHOULD have a different icon. Is that picture from a Neeo by chance?

Ah, I see that now thanks.  OP should check that the driver file names were not changed at all during download etc.  That will cause the icon to revert to the default DVD icon as shown.

Ah good point - often links to long named files get automatically cut off.....

The controller has been rebooted many times while I've been carrying out Blackout tests.

I noticed the IP driver provided a nicer icon that mimics the ATV. The IR driver just shows that horrible CD icon

For the record the "Apple TV (Gen1-3) [IP]" driver actually has IR also and has the icon you're looking for. Just make the IR connection in composer and ignore the IP part. Works with Gen 4 and 4k models via IR too.
