mtvanc
I want to use the Lutron pico remote for a different purpose than lights. Is it possible to pair it with c4 but not part of a Lutron system? If not, is there an alternative small (ideally two button remote) I can use? chopedogg88
the only way to pair/use it with Control4 is to pair it to a Lutron processor (Smart Bridge Pro, Ra2 select, Ra2, Ra3, etc) and then you can program it to Control4. It talks to the Lutron processor, which in turn talks to the Control4 director via IP. mtvanc
mtvanc
Got it, thank you! In the same topic, as far as simple few button remotes go, any others to consider outside of the Lutron caseta family?
chopedogg88
if you're looking for a handheld remote vs. wall keypad, I'd say Pico is your best bet.
chopedogg88
otherwise I'd recommend using Control4 keypads or keypad dimmers with engraved buttons
Neo1738
Pico can be done but programming is a pain. Have to program in both Lutron and C4 but not intuitive.

Caseta is very easy Add to Pico to Caseta app, send Integration Report via email. Add Pico Caseta in Composer, make ID connection according to report to Bridge ID Program for buttons 1-5, Done. chopedogg88
Well you don't even need to do that if you use the LEAP driver. Just click the button on the driver to add the keypads and it will create them in Control4. SpencerT and DawnGordon 1
pdapice
i seem to have lost the ability to program the pico remotes when using the LEAP driver. when i go into programming there are no events to program. the old driver had events for buttons 1-5, the new driver shows the pico but no events. anyone else with this issue? I bought this at my local HD and it integrated well. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Lutron-Caséta-Wireless-Smart-Lighting-Lamp-Dimmer-Switch-Starter-Kit-with-Caséta-Smart-Hub-P-BDG-PKG1W-P-BDG-PKG1W/205582770?ITC=AUC-211740-23-12140
