South Africa C4 user
With Tidal merging its 2 paid for tiers, will users who were on the lower tier and will now gain access to high definition audio have to change anything on the Control4 side of things or will the improved audio simply be heard from 10 April onwards? South Africa C4 user
Bumping this topic as Tidal now provides the higher quality audio on its standard tier. Firstly, I am keen to understand how to access this on Control4. The driver properties say that I need to log in with a Hifi account to change the settings but all accounts are now Hifi and the driver does not seem to recognise this? Secondly, after the upgrade certain songs on my playlists started stuttering in playback. It seems like these are the higher quality tracks. The only way I could fix this was limiting the quality in the Tidal driver (which defeats the purspose. Thirs and Dueport

I have Family Plan (which I believe used to unlock all quality levels) and it still shows quality as “No Limits” but the MQA option seems disabled (I honestly can’t say for sure if it was previously allowed). I get same message to log in with HiFi account to unlock this. Not sure how to see details of what quality it is actually using for any given song. Also not sure if I could hear the difference, so not too worried, other than obsessive desire to get the max quality I can. .

Kibialli
you don't need to make any changes to your Control4 system to enjoy improved sound quality.

With the BluOS/NAD DAC I know you're head over heels for, 99% of people can't tell the difference either.
