  1. An interesting observation when editing a TV driver's IR codes. Adding in the discrete IR codes for HDMI1, HDMI2, HDIM3, Component for a Panasonic TV. Not knowing which codes worked, we tested them using the HC800 until finding the correct code. One code in particular seemed to lock up the HC800, no longer would it send IR codes. - A reboot resolved. This happened twice. Any thoughts on a cause?
  2. I'm not familiar with the Room Control driver - where can I get more info please?
  3. Hey bro, settle down - me read good az. Giving options are better than remaining silent. We don't know the full context; 'Zigbee' might well be superfluous. A 230V outlet compatible with C4 - it has me assuming control from C4 is required - therefore it does not necessarily matter how C4 actually controls the device. Hey - if zigbee is required, then someone else might read this thread and be informed of the options.
  4. Where in the world are you? Belkin Wemo and a driver from Alan Chow will do the trick.
  5. I'm looking for easier options for my dimmer and keypad led's to follow both light default colours and scene default colours. I've currently got this working ok with programming, but am wondering if there is an option to just use the colour from the scene. a simple example: I have a dimmer at one end of the hallway and a two button keypad at the other. the two button is bound to the dimmer, so they act the same when clicked. When the light is on, both top led's are blue. When my motion sensor triggers a lighting scene which includes the hallway lights, I have the top leds colour red. Can I do this without programming by just linking to the scene led colour settings? - without losing the default on and off colours set on the dimmer?
  6. We always use either iPhone or an iPad. So this driver will free up the device - good to know. Thanks.
  7. Ah - good point - I wasn't thinking about the source... My wife has android so she might like the update. Thanks.
  8. What are the uses for Spotify Connect with C4? I believe I gain the ability to use Spotify Connect when I upgrade above 2.9, but what do I gain by using Spotify Connect over and above the shairbridge I use in each room currently? I currently use the Spotify app and stream to room. I have auto room on with shairbridge, so I don't need to select source, though I generally need volume controls so end up using a C4 interface as well. I've done a bit of reading on here and it sounds like most people use the Spotify app for song selection - so what are the benefits of using Spotify Connect? Thanks.
  9. Is 5.3 x 3.0 correct? could you mean 6.3 x 3 - I see this as a standard option coloured green, but not 5.3 x 3...
  10. Thanks mate - I'll have to hunt around to see if I can source one of these connections.
  11. I ran RG6 coax to each TV location when I built about 13 years back. Now that the TV needs to send audio back to the rack, I use this cable via a converter from the TV's optical out. I also ran 2 x cat 6 for the component matrix; I never accounted for TV's having ethernet, nor having local devices, so have since run another two cat 6 - one for the TV and one for the Apple TV (even though both can use wifi...) I'm lucky I have roof space and a cavity behind my main TV.......
  12. Not an option unfortunately. I need a new one because I purchased another 800 on ebay - but it's being shipped without a power supply.
  13. Double Yup. Dedicated devices per TV seems the way to go now. I purchased an expensive Leaf Component AV matrix many years ago when I first set up with C4 - back when HDMI was not quite the norm. I never made the expensive upgrade to an HDMI matrix and am so glad I didn't - as all we do now is stream with dedicated devices at the TV location. I still have a DVD player plugged into the component matrix and an old Netgear EV but both just take up space in the rack...
  14. I took a closer look this morning and I measured the DC connection at 6mm x 3mm There are plenty of options for 19V 3.42A power supply, but the closest I can find for the connection is a 5.5mm x 2.5mm Perhaps my measuring was not accurate enough? or as prabeau says - perhaps I'll just have a less snug connection with this option...
  15. Can anyone out there tell me what the connection type is at the controller side of the power supply for the HC800? I need to buy one asap and forgot to check this morning. Thanks
  16. Hmmm, we don't use OSD much - given we pretty much stream everything and hardly ever watch stored movies. I'll have to decide if browsing the movie catalogue from iphones is going to be good enough. Thanks.
  17. I found I needed additional coding for the 'House_Off' function - to prevent it happening when it shouldn't. I have triple click on a hallway dimmer to trigger 'Good Night' mode (turn off lights and AV). I now have a variable 'party mode' which I can set true/false from a custom menu. if 'party mode' is true, the macros for House Off or Good Night etc. will not run. I found out the hard way when 60 people were standing around in the dark with no music just because a kid wanted to turn the hallway lights off
  18. Please tell me more. I'm looking at upgrading from 2.9 to OS 3.? I'll be running am HC800 as primary and another HC800 for additional serial and contacts. Am I going to lose my navigator on my TV's? Thanks.
  19. Super Bowl is not very big in NZ, but there are enough die hard American sports fans here for someone to have it available. I think Spark Sport is streaming Super Bowl this year in NZ.
  20. I just purchased today from Amazon for a good price (weird they still don't ship to NZ even though they now have a presence here.) Alexa devices are available in store in NZ, however Roku is not. I got the Roku Premiere, so I'm hoping my wifi is up to scratch.
  21. Are there issues with C4 IP control over wifi?
  22. This is sounding very promising, Thanks for all the input. Now all I need is for Alexa to understand our Kiwi accent so we don't have to ask more than once for a simple command.... Changing her from US to Australian helped a bit, but not 100% yet.
  23. And this driver allows me to have each App in my watch menu and will go directly to the App rather than me having to navigate the Roku Menu? ie: Netflix Disney+ YouTube And the icon for these apps will show on the navigator screens on TV and devices? And the driver is IP based? so no IR buds required. Cheers.
  24. Looking to buy a Roku Premiere with the sole purpose of easier control within C4 Is the driver free and available from C4 or do I need to purchase from somewhere?
  25. Thanks - I did see that, and PM'd but no response yet.
