Have the exact same issue restarted the ds2 three times didnt help

Hi all,

Trying to program the following and would like some advise. I have the following setup:

1.  Front Gate that is connected to EA5 Relay 1. This is for open and close.
2. Front Gate also has a contact switch to EA5 Contact 1. This is so that I can see if the gate is open or closed.
3. DS2 with touch screen at the front gate.

What am I trying to do:

1. I added three users with access codes and day / time restrictions - in order:
   1. My Gardener
   2. My House Minder
   3. My Handy Man

I want to open the front gate if any of the individual enter their respective codes and its accepted (correct).

Here are my bindings for the DS2 and the Locks:

1. Door Bell Lock Bindings - DoorBellLock.JPG
2. Lock Bindings - DB Lock.JPG
3. DS2 Bindings - DS2.JPG
4. Gate Bindings - Gate.JPG

I looked at the programming and I see there is :

User Code 1 Entered - now does that mean in my list above "My Gardner" enters his *correct* code then I can do something? Right now I just set it to a test notification to see if it works

Same for User Code 2 etc etc etc.

The restrictions are all off at the moment because when I go to the DS2 and select entry (on the touch screen) type in the correct code for "My Gardner" - I get unauthorized (yes its the right code).

How would one go about setting this up?

What are you guys gaining by integrating with C4?  

So which smoke detectors ya’ll use (of course intergrated into c4)

Thats awesome! However i would prefer a button that can select from the steering wheel buttons. If that makes sense?

Just thinking about it - how about a car play C4 app to access gates, garage doors, alarm etc.

Wait wait whaaaaaaaaat ? Havent heard of this driver  when you say from carplay and chance you can post a screen shot?

The fact they have a raspberry pi image is very nice! The only thing though is they dont show the examples of using it (kinda like how chowmain does with their drivers) hence the request for the screenshot  just want to see how you have implemented it. Have August locks which also integrate via homebridge

Yup

You don’t have to use the DS2 driver.  There is another 2N driver that can be used, so when auto-config runs, it doesn’t wipe the ds2.
But I do agree, very overpriced for what you get and doesn’t even use all of its capabilities. Intercom in general is meh, IMHO. 

Am on DS1, DS2 seems the recommended go to, but with all its issues I keep reading about am still hesitant to goto EA5 and OS3, Video doorbell is my primary use case and I have to have it like DS1 on all my 11 screens!

I stand by what I say its a load of @&:& whats worse is that C4 implementation of it is disastrous. 2N makes the device and the device itself is incredible. C4 go with their crap driver and completely destroy it by limiting what it can do and resetting any settings you set on it via the web interface.

Can you mount a standard deadbolt doorlock somewhere, doesn't have to be an actual door, when code enters do xyz.
