So after having my TV off for a couple weeks while being away on vacation I come back and the Sony 2021 XR-55A80J was offline. I've power cycled the TV, I've switched it to and from web and simple IP control and still couldn't get it back online right away. I'm not sure what is going on and what to prevent this from happening in the future. My master bedroom Sony TV I switched to simple IP and not have had any problems with it.

Went back to Simple API and everything works....better actually as some commands were missing on the WebAPI

My Sony driver recently updated for my Sony XBR75XB850B and now I'm not able to execute several WebAPI commands that previously worked including PictureOff and Options. I have normally programmed the red button on my remote to toggle the picture off so if I want just to listen to the TV say for example streaming radio I'm able to do that but now that is not working suddenly. Not sure what to do to remedy this....

I've attached a screenshot of the current driver I'm using. It actually just updated but same issue anytime I hit GREEN button it keeps playing video but goes to menu screen so menu text obscures what you are watching and no easy way of clearing screen of menus.

No on this TV I was using just the Sony driver for that specific tv that was hav No I was using the Sony TV app for that specific TV that is having the issue. The Sony TV that is not having the issue is a different Sony TV driver. I do have the mini app driver installed however but that usually is controlling my Nvidia Shield box apps

I now have 2 Sony TVs: XBR-55X850D and also XR-55A80J. I've noticed that when I use the Kodi app on the 3 year old 55X850D and hit any of my C4 remote colored buttons (red, green, yellow, or blue) that I use for other programming such as toggling the room light, Kodi is acting like these buttons are part of Kodi but I have no way of altering this anywhere in Control4, Sony TV menu, or Kodi menu. This makes it problematic when I'm watching a show on Kodi and hit these buttons which causes the show to keep playing while Kodi goes back to menu but I don't have anyway of clearing the onscreen menu that is blocking the content currently playing. On any other app on this TV, the colored buttons don't do anything. On my new XR-55A80J these buttons don't do anything in Kodi or any other app on the TV which is what I want. I only want these buttons to control the C4 programming I have programmed to them for the room. Any ideas how to disable the colored buttons on my C4 remote from messing with Kodi control?

Do you not like Eero? I've had it work perfectly for me and no regrets. Any ideas on why C4 would lose connectivity with the TV?

I might have spoke too soon about smooth C4 control. Hadn't used tv in several days now today it's not responding to C4.... After restart using original remote it came back. I have static IP set on my Eero but should probably set it on TV but not exactly sure what exact settings to use to use for default gateway and network prefix length. IP address of Sony is 192.168.7.202

I did end up get the Sony A80J TV and after a bit a configuring it does respond very quickly. Absolutely an incredible picture with the contrast making 4K look almost 3D to a certain degree. I already have a Sony XBR-55X850D which I have found to be quite sluggish with Control4 at times so was concerned hence my original post. I'm not sure how to get the XBR a bit more responsive as sometimes it just seems slow with C4.

Can someone explain the multi display function being discussed?

Without the Simple IP checked on the TV, Control4 doesn't control the TV via remote but works in Composer to control so I'm not sure why the difference.

Just wired in my new TV and wondering if there is a best way to have Control4 control this TV. in the menu set up for remote there is a slider bar for C4 which I have selected to on. I also have authorization set to normal with authentication key. Everything is working fine via Control4 once I turned on Simple IP but I am just wondering if this is the best method to control the TV. And the instructions clearly as seen in the photo I have attached there is an RS 232 cable input and I do have an EA3 controller close to the TV so I could visibly use the RS232port. Just wanting some opinions if there is a best option for controlling the TV with Control4.

Of note is that in my Control4 account, my laptop is not listed in MY DEVICES in my list noted in my account. I've been using this laptop for almost 2 years so it should be listed as it's accessed Control4 both at home and remotely before.....

Still not able to remotely connect to EA5. I can connect when at home on the network but nothing remotely. Nothing at all has changed and running 3.2.3 so everything both firmware and Composer HE all most current. Basically shows "Unable to communicate with project" but when it's logging into C4 everything appears correctly authenticated until I try to connect to the EA5 that runs the system. My dealer said he could log in remotely without any issue. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Composer 2x now just to see if that made any difference and nothing.

Still having same issue.... yes, 4Sight expires in December. Dealer said I may have to re-register controller via Composer but not exactly sure where that is located.

Looking for a recommendation on a moderately priced TV for a kitchen use during meal prep in my home that can be controlled by C4 via IP and stream smart apps over same cat 5 or cat 6 cable. Looking at Samsung, Sony, or maybe LG. Don't need top end but not junk either. Can C4 control tv over same cat 5 cable that is being used by tv for smart apps?

How do you contact Control4 support?

I am having some issues with Composer not being able to connect remotely. I have the most current software 3.2.3 with both firmware and Composer. Are there any known connectivity issues right now with Composer remotely?

I just noticed on 2 of my configurable keypads the command "Replace Legacy Control4 Device". I thought the keypads are the most recent ones so I'm not sure what this command refers to in Composer? Are these configurable keypads considered old already?

I do have a few of the configurable keypads which are great but for this specific location I only need a switch as part of a 3 way scenario.... I didn't realize the auxillary keypad doesn't follow the load however.

Does the C4 auxiliary keypad KA have LEDs that indicate if the light is on/off? From what I'm seeing in programming is that this is basically a "dumb" switch with no LEDs to indicate if the light it's controlling in a 3 way setup is on or off ...

Yes eventually it's being installed in an addition but wanted to test. I did do it and seems to work perfectly with this method.
