  1. Woke up this morning to find my most used SR260 unresponsive. Tried taking the batteries out and back in. I see some sort of screen flash (too fast to see) and then the screen is blank except for the signal strength in the top left corner and the battery indicator in the top right. *** looks like all my Zigbee devices are offline as of this morning. Rebooted the controller but no change. *** and it looks like I can no longer see the EA5 that runs Zigbee on the network. I guess that’s my problem?
  2. It’s the Door Auto-Lock (OS2.9+) driver, version 5. I have two instances. One no longer updates the lock status after running for about 3 weeks until I reboot it. (The other loses status occasionally I just can’t figure out the pattern).
  3. How often does everyone reboot their system? I have one driver that just stops working about every three weeks until I reboot. It’s a C4 driver so I don’t expect it’ll ever get fixed. Any downside to rebooting once a week / twice a month?
  4. Dear C4, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE put in filters or sort for Macros. Thank you. User with a boatload of macros who can never find the one he wants.
  5. I want to add hard wired contact sensors to my garage doors, one for fully open and one for fully closed. What do people recommend for rail mounted sensors? Will either connect to Z2IO or EA5 depending on how hard it is to get another cable down to the rack room. Also - thoughts on how a Z2IO installed in the garage holds up to Colorado heat? (I’m currently using NYCE Tilt sensors which work great but want to replace so I don’t have to worry about batteries)
  6. 9 I think, not counting a spare Wall 10”s T3s - Kitchen, Foyer, Master Portable 7” - Office, Guest room, - Lounge, Game Room, Bar, Theater Portable 8” T4 - Living Room (by far the most used) I also have an iPad mount in the theater that I regret. If it didn’t involve wall repair, I’d remove it. I’d like to replace the wall units with T4s and maybe one or two portables, but have a hard time justifying the cost given their relative usage. As my voice automation gets better the screens aren’t as important. If camera feeds would pop in faster I might reconsider but even on my T4 it’s still not fast enough (and my controller is a CA-10).
  7. Not 4Sight, the HC800 box itself (assuming your controller is an HC-800).
  8. Does it work remotely (e.g. through 4Sight) or only when connected to local network? are there limits on the number of buttons you can set up on the iPhone?
  9. I’d be curious to her about real life use of the Echo Link in a C4 system. Reading the product reviews, it seems to over promise snd under deliver on functionality.
  10. Well @RyanE, I will have to take another look at the C4 driver then. If it now supports passing and being able to query the light level it could do what I need. But when it first came out there were only events for on/off/up/down - there was no way to query level.
  11. Not sure I understand. With the Epic driver I can have an Alexa routine set a light level to x and the driver will have the light level available as a variable I can program off of. For example, I have a device/light called “Routine” so I can have an Alexa routine “The cleaners are here” that sets light level on “Routine” to 27. When the Epic driver sees Routine set to level 27 it runs the code to do whatever is needed when the cleaners are here. Unless something has changed I don’t think I could do the same with the C4 driver.
  12. And another key reason the Epic Systems driver is better than the C4 one is that it supports levels (SET) which provides *significantly* more programming flexibility than just off/on. If I had to implement my Alexa code using the C4 drivers it would be ridiculously complicated and require a massive number of dummy devices to be created.
  13. That’s one issue, but on 3.2.1 announcements don’t play on my T3s and there are glitches on zones that didn’t happen on 3.1.2
  14. Announcements not playing properly on touchscreens and sometimes in general. Announcement processing was finally rock solid in 3.1.2 after being iffy in quite a few releases and took a step backwards in 3.2.1
  15. Well unless the Announcement bugs are fixed this seems like a “yawn” release for me. The change to ambient light sensors would be helpful in a couple places but I don’t see a compelling reason to upgrade.
  16. What does OvRC pro native to your controller mean? Does that benefit a homeowner/end user in any meaningful way?
  17. I have a portable T3 that was working fine last week but doesn’t power on today. The base works fine with another T3 so it’s something with the unit itself. Is there anything I can do to jump start it? Any type of factory reset process I can try? (Though not sure it will help if the unit doesn’t actually have power) Thanks!
  18. I had the same problem and broke the link simply by powercycling the controller. Was then able to link via the extras screen. I already had the updated driver and the code was no longer 4 characters but 8 in the form xxxx-xxxx. I don’t know when the format of the pin code changed but my Ecobee connection has been solid after having to re-establish it about once a week.
  19. The bug isn’t related to the SMB1 (and I think C4 now supports SMB3). The HE announcements management bug is a holdover from 3.2.0.
  20. Three things: 1. Are you using a v1 or V2 hub? What versions of the hub and motor drivers are you using? Pretty sure there is a later version of the motor driver then 0.55. 2. Calibration really isn’t used/needed/useful in the newer versions of the drivers so you can pretty much ignore it. Just make sure you have the upper and lower stops set for each blind (outside of C4, using the blind remote). If that’s done, calibration is of no value unless you change the motor speed (and probably not even then). 3. Have you verified the bindings for each motor? (Presume yes if they are working through C4)
  21. I agree with you in general; was just curious about real-world experiences. I suspect by the time I sell my house I won’t really care. However, it may be like selling a house with a pool. It used to be considered a selling point. Now many consider it a liability.
  22. Did you have different sale price figures based on whether the system was included or not? If so, any idea what % of cost the C4 up charge was?
  23. Makes sense as mm.db ends up corrupted every time I do a restore. But if I manually move the mm.db backup over I’m still able to scan / add new music / do new backups. I already rebuilt everything from scratch once or twice and still had the problem so, at least for now, it’s not worth spending $ for support to look at it. (I’ve been in this situation since 2.9.x or 2.10.x I think). I’m more concerned that what Destroyer mentioned might be a new problem since I thought there was a bug fix related to media scanning in 3.2.1.
  24. Try restoring mm.db from your latest backup via putty. In /Control4/db on the controller delete mm.db.corrupt, move over a copy of mm.db from the backup file from windows and reboot. Unless something else has changed in 3.2.1 you should have your music and playlists back. I haven’t upgraded to 3.2.1 yet but every time I have to restore a backup mm.db becomes corrupted (same symptoms as you) and I have to fix it manually.
