  1. @alanchow is there a list of supported buttons? for example, "guide" takes me to the guide, but i'm not sure how to get home to the main shield screen. also, is it possible to add the ability to map the color buttons on the SR remotes to custom actions like with the videostorm driver? thanks!
  2. sorry, here's the LUA output: DEBUG MODE = PRINT 06/02/2018 10:23:35 - ReceivedFromProxy [5002] : GET_VIDEO_PATH 06/02/2018 10:23:35 - Proxy Command not defined: GET_VIDEO_PATH 06/02/2018 10:23:35 - ReceivedFromProxy [5002] : GET_AUDIO_PATH 06/02/2018 10:23:35 - Proxy Command not defined: GET_AUDIO_PATH 06/02/2018 10:23:35 - ReceivedFromProxy [5002] : ON 06/02/2018 10:23:35 - CONNECT 1 06/02/2018 10:23:35 - Proxy Command not defined: ON 06/02/2018 10:23:35 - ReceivedFromProxy [5002] : CONNECT_OUTPUT 06/02/2018 10:23:35 - CLASS HDMI 06/02/2018 10:23:35 - OUTPUT 2000 06/02/2018 10:23:35 - Proxy Command not defined: CONNECT_OUTPUT 06/02/2018 10:23:35 - ReceivedFromProxy [5002] : SET_INPUT 06/02/2018 10:23:35 - INPUT 3201 06/02/2018 10:23:35 - CLASS HDMI 06/02/2018 10:23:35 - OUTPUT 2000 06/02/2018 10:23:35 - VIDEO False 06/02/2018 10:23:35 - SWITCH_SEPARATE False 06/02/2018 10:23:35 - AUDIO True [string "Lua Code"]:186: attempt to concatenate local 'appName' (a nil value) (ReceivedFromProxy) 06/02/2018 10:23:35 - ReceivedFromProxy [5002] : ON 06/02/2018 10:23:35 - CONNECT 1 06/02/2018 10:23:35 - Proxy Command not defined: ON 06/02/2018 10:23:35 - ReceivedFromProxy [5002] : CONNECT_OUTPUT 06/02/2018 10:23:35 - CLASS HDMI 06/02/2018 10:23:35 - OUTPUT 2000 06/02/2018 10:23:35 - Proxy Command not defined: CONNECT_OUTPUT 06/02/2018 10:23:35 - ReceivedFromProxy [5002] : SET_INPUT 06/02/2018 10:23:35 - INPUT 3201 06/02/2018 10:23:35 - CLASS HDMI 06/02/2018 10:23:35 - OUTPUT 2000 06/02/2018 10:23:35 - VIDEO False 06/02/2018 10:23:35 - SWITCH_SEPARATE False 06/02/2018 10:23:35 - AUDIO True [string "Lua Code"]:186: attempt to concatenate local 'appName' (a nil value) (ReceivedFromProxy)
  3. sorry about that @alanchow n00b mistake here. however, after updating i'm seeing a similar but slightly different issue. if i choose the plex mini driver, it never kicks over to the nvidia shield driver for control. when i choose "plex" from the remote it will do the AV switching as required, but the shield never launches plex and i have to manually go select the master shield driver in order to control anything on the shield. however, netflix works fine. any ideas?
  4. hey @alanchow i finally got home and got my IRUSB. everything is set up on my project but i'm having a weird app launch issue. Netflix launches OK, but everything else doesn't do anything. i can control plex but i can't launch it direct. here's the debug output, any ideas? i'm using the 29JAN version which I think is the latest? 5. awesome thanks. my IRUSB should get here this week ( @videostorm is not too far from me), happy to test any plex-related functionality as i have a pretty large plex presence.
  6. @alanchow no plex on the list? are you updating your plex full to work via irusb separately?
  7. awesomeeeeee. if you figure out hue, shoot me a PM and i'll amazon a pack!
  8. cool. if you can figure out Hue, i'll buy a set and test for you. we're looking for a replacement for an accent light in our master bedroom as our overhead DMX light (coloronix 6" RGBW downlight) took a crap and doesn't work after 1 year. these look awesome and artistic given the space we need to fill, but controlling hue, on/off are requirements for us. we wouldn't use the rhythm or scene feature necessarily. also, does your driver interact with the device locally or is it over a web-based API? i'm changing out a lot of things to remove the dependency to be exposed to the internet, and that's a new "requirement" for me moving forward.
  9. just looked these up and they're pretty awesome. i'm looking to buy a set of them what exactly will your driver be able to control?
  10. @videostorm do you have an update on stock levels / backorder times for IRUSB? thanks in advance!
  11. i ordered a ton of engraved ones, and 4 or 5 of them have broken so far, i've had to replace with the previous non-engraved versions.
  12. ha, sorry i guess my "complaints" aren't really complaints, just more of some nuances with the product. mine works 99% of the time, has good video, good interface with c4, good customization, and it looks super slick.
  13. so i echo most of this. i hardwired it to my normal doorbell to begin with as i don't really use announcements specifically because of the lag. one thing i've noticed though is that the doorbird interface with c4 is super buggy. sometimes the SIP call won't send video, and the touchpanel will be "thinking" while i'm waiting for it to show me who is at the door (and never does). also, i've now set up three, and all of them require multiple reboots (the doorbird AND the c4 controller) to get all of the functions working. also, only 2 video streams is quite annoying given i have 1 recording at all times, and if the doorbell rings, c4 grabs the SIP call and then i can't view anything from the phone not a biggie, but hey, AXIS provides 4 streams, and i run all AXIS cameras at my house so i'm spoiled that said, doorbird have improved their firmware adding "zones" for the motion sensing, which is great b/c it doesn't catch every car that goes by now overall, i'm pretty darn satisfied, the looks are great, the extra contacts and relays are also super cool, and all of my neighbors with the Ring doorbell now feel like they're missing out, so i'm doing alright i suppose
  14. have you tried using the direcTV IP driver? the ip commands are all the same. that said, the raw command being sent is: Remote Key - http://STBIP:port/remote/processKey?key=poweron (you can s/poweroff/poweron)
  15. uggghhhh.... chicago building code..... you're giving me shivers
  16. yep, this is annoying. however, they will provide (im happy to share) the specs for these connectors. as long as you can maintain 700mA constant current, you can extend this.
  17. i've just been picking up color kinetics lights on ebay for <$100/ea. people have no idea what they are.
  18. yeah, they dont, we fit them in when we mounted the test light. however, i'm hearing several reports from other people that have purchased that the decoder/data enablers are DOA.
  19. yeah, i spoke with them about that. it seems installers prefer to run AC power directly to the unit and not have to calculate voltage drops, etc. they sent me one of the standard transformers they use for this, it's a super tiny (about 1/3 the length and half of the depth of a px24500) 10w digital xfmr. pretty handy. i'm actually considering running AC to each unit for this. but we will see. also i've been messing with muxing the power and DMX signal over the same wire and splitting it out when it gets to the decoder, but so far not 100%
  20. yeah i know, i have other fixtures i'm working with on the bench, this is just the one installed so far. have 9 more...
  21. here's a video of the recessed light installed, using your effects switch (adv chase rainbow with a 1sec fade) http://share.chrisspitler.com/3z1b383e0X2g
  22. ill post some videos too. here's the construction of the unit and me working on it on the bench to get it to work. out of the box. these are new construction boxes, not really for retrofit, but whatever. pretty solid construction. knockouts on either side for DMX cable. the small box on the front side here is where power cables are housed, pre-extended from the factory from the deocder into this smaller housing for ease of install where the magic happens. simple decoder, RJ45 in/out. DIP switch offers some standalone modes that can operate sans-DMX they're using 24/8 i think to connect the light to the board, and it's an RJ45 termination carrying the current to power the light from the decoder! a picture of the light next to a soda can for size reference
  23. yep, it's fully functional. to make things simple for me, i have the 2 output decabox, and the XLR5 output (output 1) drives my outdoor lights via the px24500 decoders, and the XLR3 (output 2) drives the interior lights. the coloronix lights fade wonderfully and the color mixing is impeccable, but the cost of the lights is a bit higher than normal (US$450/light for 3" RBGW recessed). now that this unit is off the bench and working in an installation, i plan to refit all of my 6" downlights in the house to the coloronix 6" gen 2. will post some pictures next of the unit itself
  24. to follow up, the solution was a bad decoder. unfortunately their connections from the decoder to the bulb are highly proprietary so i couldn't test. the company overnighted a new decoder and it worked perfectly. thanks
