    Roon 2.0

Have you tried to access Roon on the C4 iOS first? Here is my experience. After my upgrade to 2.0, C4 wouldn't connect to Roon. I restarted the Roon server software and then also rebooted the Nucleus. It still wasn't connecting at all from my T4 touch screens. At that point, I tried connecting to Roon on the C4 iOS app instead. At first, that gave me a bunch of Zone not found errors, but after I clicked OK on all of those, it eventually connected. Since that point, my T4's have been connecting too. So, I chalked it up to the usual Roon C4 driver jankiness.
  2. Thanks for looking into the battery issue. I apologize for cross-posting the issue and will monitor the other thread for updates! On the Unifi driver, yes, I am also now using the driver for that purpose -- telling me when our kids get home from school, not to mention when our aquarium guy is there to service the tank, when our gardener is there, etc. It is so much more reliable (and much easier to set up) than Alexa geofencing or other methods I have tried. I find it is also handy for power cycling POE-connected equipment. If I'm not around, my family can easily power cycle a device from a C4 touch screen instead of tracking me down to do it through the Unifi app. I am looking forward to playing around more, because this only scratches the surface of what the driver does, as you note. Thanks again for building it.
  3. Aha! That solved it, and the dashboard is awesome. Thank you! At the risk of hijacking my own thread, I also recently purchased the Battery Agent driver, and I have just one problem with it. One of my SR260's battery level does not persist in the Agent dashboard. I have 3 SR-260s. Two of them use recharging stations, and they both report accurately in Battery Agent. The third one, which uses regular batteries, will report accurately in Battery Agent when used, but about 15-30 minutes after its last use, the agent reverts to showing it as having 0% battery. I confirmed that the remote is properly set up with recharging disabled, and I turned on the 24-hour SR260 check-in property within the driver. Is there anything else I can try to get it working? Thanks!
  4. Sadly, the recharge station is disabled on the remote, as it should be. Whenever I pick up the remote and use it, Battery Agent updates and shows the level accurately, but as soon as the remote has been unused for about 5-10mins, Battery Agent reverts to 0%, just for that device. Scratching my head....
  5. Great question. I'll check when I get home tonight. Should I be looking in the remote settings within Composer or is it in the settings menu on the remote itself?
  6. I recently purchased the battery agent and am quite happy with it. I do have an ongoing issue with one of our SR260 remotes. It keeps reporting zero battery levels. When I press the button to populate the levels in Composer, the Battery Agent will correctly update, but on the next scan, it goes back to zero. This particular remote uses individual batteries, not a recharging station. I have two other SR260s using recharging stations, and Battery Agent reports them accurately. I set the driver properties to update SR260s once every 24 hours, but that has not solved the problem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. As an update, I got the presence feature working, along with the ability to switch POE ports on and off, speed tests from C4 navigators, and the ability to switch wifi networks on and off. For whatever reason, however, the Unifi Network driver webview doesn't work for me. I get a 404 error on my T4's when I try it. Annoying, but not a dealbreaker.
  8. I'm having a hard time with the setup of the driver. The driver sees my Unifi controller. I set up a local user in Unifi, and the user successfully logs in from the driver. However, I keep getting "Communication Error 400" in the driver. This happened even when I made the local user a "Super Admin," so it can't be a permissions issue. I do not use the default site, but I entered the Site name into the driver, and it seemed to login properly. (One issue is that my site name has a space in it. I tried it with the space and without the space, but it didn't work either time.) I confirmed that it works with the "default" site, but that is not the one we use. Entering the name of our site produces a "bad credentials" error in the driver log. I've confirmed the local access user has access rights to our site. Is this driver incompatible with non-default sites? EDIT: Finally figured it out. I didn't realize that the "Site ID" is actually different than the Site Name. Once I put the Site ID in, the driver connected normally. Hope this helps someone else.
  9. I am considering purchase of the Cinegration Unifi network controller driver, and my hope is to track presence of family members, based on whether and when their phones connect to our network. Will this work? We have all Unifi gear — USG router, switches, and access points. Also, I noticed in the driver documentation a comment that this driver uses more than the normal amount of CPU and memory. Is this a potential issue to be concerned about? Our project sits on an EA-5. Thanks!
  10. This assessment makes sense. We have all Ubiquiti gear. Our wifi speeds are also in the 150ish range, even standing right under the AP. That is more than enough for us, especially since nearly all our stationary clients are wired. But, if you are looking for higher wifi speeds, I agree that Ubiquiti may not be the way to go. I do wonder about one thing though. Why can’t the new company just factory reset all your existing gear and reconfigure everything from scratch? That avoids having to get login info from the old guys, and considering all the issues you are having, maybe it is not such a bad idea to start the configuration over? 11. I have a Sony Bravia TV controlled by IR. We have had it for several years. Last night, it did not respond to the power-on IR command from Control4. I had to turn it on using the Sony remote. However, once I did that, it responded perfectly to a series of power on and power off commands from Control4. So, I thought all was well. However, I woke up this morning, and once again it did not respond to the power-on command from C4. Once again, powering on using the Sony remote fixed the problem, for now. Any ideas about what could be going on? Thanks!
  12. You've probably figured this out by now, but see this post for the steps:
  13. We have 8" T4 touch screens on our bedside tables, and we use the date/time screensavers as a clock. It would be really handy to be able to change the font color on the date/time screensavers. One use case is simply to pick a font color with less glare for overnight use. Another is programmatically changing the font; for instance, if the room has a wakeup enabled, the font is red, but otherwise green.
  14. I updated to v124, and I am happy to report the controller reboot bug seems to be gone! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. @South Africa C4 user : Thanks for the advice! It is fair to say patience is not my strong suit. The version showing in Composer hadn’t changed overnight, so I tried one more power cycle of the controller. But this time, I waited a full 30 seconds before powering it back on. When the controller came back online, the driver was finally showing the new version. From now on, I am joining the “30 seconds crowd.” Thanks a lot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Last night, my dealer updated the driver for my Honeywell HSIM remotely. He told me to reboot my controller afterwards. I did so, by unplugging the controller, waiting 10 seconds, and plugging it back in, just like usual. However, after the controller came back online, the driver version property in Composer still showed the old version (v120). I can see the driver got updated, because the driver documentation in Composer shows the changelog for the new version (v124). Is there something else I need to do in order to properly power cycle the controller and activate the new driver version? In case it matters, my main controller is an EA-5, and the Honeywell HSIM is connected to an EA-1 downstream. Do I need to power cycle the EA-1 either before or after power cycling the main EA-5? Thanks
  17. I saw that there is a new version of the Honeywell HSIM driver out (v124). I haven't gotten my dealer out to install it yet. Does anyone know if this version fixes the controller reboot issue?
  18. I actually don't have Kasa. If we add a regular C4 light switch driver, but then just not bind it to any hardware, will that accomplish the same aim?
  19. Very cool! What is the name of the virtual light driver?
  20. Does anybody use Alexa routines for geofencing? I have an unused C4 wireless outlet lying around. I was thinking about setting up an Alexa routine that switches outlets on or off depending on whether I'm at home or not. Seems very simple to do in theory, but I wonder if anyone has experience or advice on how well this works in practice.
  21. Ah, ok. So, I take it that 80% utilization is nothing to worry about?
  22. At the top of the "Media" tab of Composer, my EA-5 reports that 80% of its total storage is in use. (It showed that media artwork storage was near zero, which was the bar above the total storage.) I'm sort of puzzled, because we don't store music or video on the controller. The controller is set never to scan for new music, and we are a Sonos household. In general, what files get stored on a controller? Is there a way for me or my dealer to see what files are on there, and maybe clean things up? Thanks!
  23. I'm pretty sure you can set up your Sonos Connect in Roon using Airplay instead of using the Sonos network. I've never tried this, but I know it's possible, because I see the Airplay option in Roon for all my Sonos units. I'm guessing that this may allow you to sync the Sonos zone with your other non-Sonos zones, but I haven't personally tried this before. If not, @ekohn00's solution using the Denon makes sense.
