in Settings > Remotes and Devices, you can choose the following:
Control TVs and Receivers: Decide whether your Siri Remote or Apple TV Remote automatically turns on your television or receiver.
    Turn that off.
Then control4 remote will do everythig without interference from apple tv

Thanks Home Theater Advisor. It works, we just have to remember to make sure we put the spotify volume volume all the way low before we select "play on control4" otherwise it will do what just happened and started out at a really really loud level.

People have problems with their Toyota and the dealerships mechanics you feel are to blame and complain on a forum about the issues with their car.
Should toyota shut down that dealership?  Should you keep spending money with that dealership mechanic hoping they figure it out?
Maybe they just have bad mechanics.  You can go somewhere else for service.  Another dealership or an independent mechanic   Open yelp or another service and read reviews.   Or you can sell the new car and take a beating on the investment
So you have c4 and you are getting bad service from your dealer.  Get referrals.  Shop around.  Pick another service center/mechanic for your c4 work.

Home Theater Advisors reacted to Cyknight in Philips Hue or Control4 light switches?
More than that but sure - and when you have a bank of 8 of them it's about the same price.
UNLESS color is important, go with light switches. Hue bulbs are nice for certain accent things, great for table/standlamps as an alternative for getting an outlet control but for main lighting I wouldn't reco9mmend it. Especially within C4. One issue is that you still HAVE those light switches and you need to do something with it - you can keep the original switch but than you risk accidental loss of control, you can't wire it through in most regions legally (must be an easy access way of shutting power off) or if you want to make sure they are always on....you install a controlled light switch anyway.

If cost for C4 lighting is truly that prohibitive you can work with your dealer to look at alternative lighting option, but going all controlled bulbs is just not a great idea in my opinion

Errr. WTF are you talking about.

Yes, we really should just hack everything right? When 99% of things that have Bluetooth ALSO have IR or IP or serial, or any combination of some or all.

By C4 you mean? er....again you are really just pulling crap out of thin air
My one daughter is watching TV right now, My son is playing PS4. I', listening to music, my wife is as well elsewhere in the house. My other kid isn't using the 'system' right now, other than turning the lights on from her tablet to play in the basement. Stop assuming and accusing WAP.
    Based on what WAP?

Feel free to pass on USEFUL information WAP. Drunken rants on Hollywood, HDMI and unsubstantiated and referenced assumptions and accusation however are neither 'feedback' nor 'useful'

If I'm understanding correctly - you want the AC off if a door has been opened for more than five minutes, and when all doors are shut, turn back on the AC. Now I don't have any way of testing this, and I don't like "when variable changes," so give this code a try and let me know if it works. Might need some additional tweaking.
    When DoorA opens
do DoorOpenMacro                    !I like macros - helps keep code in one place
    When DoorA closes
      do DoorCloseMacro
    etc.

    ---
    DoorOpenMacro
    DoorVar += 1
if DoorVar = 1                              !if more than one we've already done this
ACVar = status of AC                !need to know status of AC - it could be off - like in winter (if you need help with this code let me know)
      if ACVar = on
        Start 5MinuteTimer

    ---
    DoorCloseMacro
    DoorVar -= 1
    if DoorVar = 0
Stop 5MinuteTimer                   !this line of code is actually not necessary - can wait till timer expires
      if ACVar = off
        start AC
    ---
    When 5MinuteTimer expires
if DoorVar > 0                          !is door still open?
        stop AC
        ACVar = off

Years ago I had a script that made an announcement 'There is a window or door open and the A/C is on'.  It annoyed the hell out of my family, but they got the hint and it doesn't happen anymore
