  1. Is this something that can be easily configured? Some folks may remember - I had my system installed by a novice dealer (extreme politeness on my part) and had tons of problems at the onset getting the system properly configured. This has been mostly fixed through the help of several kind and generous folks on this board who have guided me over the last three years. Most of that time has been spent on integrating my IoT equipment and I have put off most of the music related integration and relied on my Sonos app up to this point. For example, I have a NAS, it has tons of music and movies on it, but none of those are accessible through my C4 system. Thanks, again, all.
  2. Thanks, Mitch. So how can I add digital audio to a room? Note that I have Sonos, which I use for my music library, Pandora, Sirius, and other streaming.
  3. I don't. As I'm thinking this through I believe I have the wrong driver... I'm looking to be able to add streaming channels like Prime Audio, Spotify, etc. Sorry for my ignorance...
  4. I have the driver installed, but can't get it to show up on my navigators. Here is is in my music sub-menu on my room properties screen: However when I attempt to display Add Music under the listen experience it isn't an available option: Am i missing a connection or binding of some kind that's preventing me from being able to use Add Music? Thanks!
  5. You need Mitch’s Rename driver. Highly recommended. I’m sure he’ll read this and respond.
  6. My TV didn’t have discrete codes. So we picked up a Monoprice HDMI switch that did have discrete codes. We plugged our Fios and Roku into the Monoprice and connected it to HDMI 1. When we change inputs the TV stays on HDMI 1 and the Monoprice switches. Works for us. https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=21614
  7. Thank you. Did you integrate these into your C4 system? If so, how? With Bond Bridge?
  8. This one goes above my pay grade. I hear that some of the LiftMasters won't work with a relay unless you go the remote control hack. Best to wait for someone else to answer.
  9. Yes Very interesting. I have some non-motorized roller shades that I'd like to automate. I started looking into somfy retro-fit motors and got discouraged by the need for a receiver and just forgot about the project. Anyone ever go through the process of retrofitting somfy motors into roller shades for purposes of automating? I'd be interested in understanding how you did it.
  10. While this topic is hot wanted to ask the experts how they would program events off this thing: I set it up to send push notification when contact sensor is open: "Garage Door Open" Then when it closes: "Garage Door Closed" I find that when I close the garage door I get an extra "open" notification then get a "closed". So it reads as follows: I open the door: door open notification I close the door: another open notification, followed by a closed notification. I went back and added a delay to avoid the double notification and my programing looks as follows: When it closes: This seems to be working fine, but if there is a better way I'd love to learn it!
  11. Forget what I paid, maybe a couple hundred. I got it last year and it was missing some parts so I threw it in a closet for while and forgot about it. I broke it out when the MyQ crapped out. It has inputs for 3 relays and 3 contact sensors, so being that I had the inputs, I used the rail-mount sensors, which installed very easily. I think the tilt sensors would be fine, based on comments on the board. Only potential negative I can think of with the tilt sensors would be battery replacement. The Axxess also gives you temperature sensor and enhances your zigbee network.
  12. I put it in a box (a) because I had an extra one laying around, (b) to minimize dust and insects, and (c) my power outlet location is in a high traffic area and didn't want the thing to get smashed. Response is instant for me on both the control and status. No more waiting for MyQ to poll (when it worked!).
  13. So I ended up installing the Axxess Relay this week, along with this Garage door track sensor. It works well so far and I am free of the MYQ frustrations. .
  14. Thanks for suggestion. Think I need a zigbee solution here as I have EA3 and two garage doors. Plus, it’s an impossible run from garage to rack room. Anyone willing to work with me to add the Axxess Relay to my system to see if it is functional? Think if I use that with the remote control solution, + tilt sensors, I’ll be in good shape.
  15. Think I may have some hardware to get started on a transition from MYQ. See attached pic. I bought this a year ago from a remote dealer. It arrived missing the contact sensors and was missing the green piece (see pic 2). Tried to get the guy to replace it but he never sent one. Thing looks fine when I open it up, any way to test it? Do I need that green doohickey? Paid like $200 for it and it’s been a thorn in my C4 side ever since. Tried to contact Axxess and they refused to help.
  16. Mine crapped out too. Actually have Craftsman openers and had MYQ keypads installed a few years ago. Was planning on installing NYCE tilt sensors to test state. Given that the openers are Craftsman can I do something like z2io without having to solder? GDO’s are circa 2007.
  17. Anyone hear of one? Out of pure laziness, I'd like to be able to toggle lighting scenes from my hot tub. LOL, reading that back is a real statement as to the status of us as a society. Nevertheless, would love to not have to hop outside the tub to toggle a scene. Thanks, y'all.
  18. Thank you, former Galactic President. Side question - do you run yours year round? Seems like heating that thing during the height of winter would be quite costly.
  19. Hello C4 Peeps. Does anyone have experience integrating an outdoor Jacuzzi brand spa with Control 4? Can it be done? Is it worth the trouble? We are in early stage planning and are considering something from the J-500 trim line. Jacuzzi has a proprietary smart tub platform called "ProLink" [https://www.jacuzzi.com/en-us/hot-tubs/products/accessories/prolink-app] to connect with your tub via an ios or android app via wifi. Looks like the functionality that we'd want, so should I even bother trying to integrate? What benefit is gained by integrating this functionality with C4, if it is even possible to do so? Thinking this through as I write... From experience, I integrated my Ecobees last year via a paid driver and have seen marginal benefit. I can pull up various info on navigators, toggle on/off, override temp, etc, and do some light programming (IFTTT), but the most compelling feature of the Ecobee, IMHO, the comfort setting scheduler, is achieved outside of C4 through the native app and all of the preceeding can be accomplished via the Ecobee app. So net-net, I got very little for the price paid for the (now free) driver. Would really appreciate any shared experience on this topic. In the way of general background, we do not have a swimming pool at this time. Thanks, in advance for your thoughts!
  20. Is this regarding Composer HE? If so, search the forum for the topic “director could not authenticate” and you’ll find a couple of long and heated posts about this. There was an issue this summer that affected all of us. There is a patch to download that fixes it. Hoping this helps you.
