For the most part , you will easily create your schedules and scenes in the app. Your control4 dealer will give you some buttons or possibly include those fx scenes in your c4 scenes. It’s Mostly one of those set it and forget it things you do. But it sure is wicked cool making your house purple with orange trees when you show people. here is how it shows In composer. Just like regular control4 lights. Changing colors in the c4 app is only done through scenes. So when I want to change colors I launch the fx app.

I have created several scenes with different colors. I think it looks cool but my wife is not impressed and only likes white , but since I’m the only one who knows how to adjust colors , my house stands out with lots of colors. I start out the scene dim and gradually increase the intensity to 75. They are super bright so 100 is extreme.

You can get any light luminaire offers through snap even if it’s not on snaps website. I have the path lights , all 3 models , wall wash and up lights.

You need the luminaire controller with built in transformer. There are 2 different types. White or rgbw led. I would just run all new 10 gauge wiring as the main line then if the fixtures wires are not long enough you can extend with 12 gauge wire. if you want color , which is super cool you need this controller which supports 300 watts it lighting but depends on distance and cable gauge I think I have 1 run 200 feet and another 175 feet and have about 24 color fixtures FX-LUX-300-SS

The setup is easy. You just need the app. I think you can find the lighting online but it will be the same price as a control4 dealer who you need to configure the driver on composer anyway. I keep adding to my fx system, it’s addicting

Fx luminaire has been working flawlessly here. The driver is also very reliable. It is simple to program and change colors on the fly. You do the programming of colors and scenes in the luminaire app then trigger scenes in composer. The app has the color wheel

Most likely what Control4 calls a "sideways" deal where they frown on And with good reason and we see here in this case

I have the arcam av40 and ip works perfectly. They have great support , have you contacted them?

We just did an all day demo on the Moip system and its seems really good. Very simple to setup. Of course they recommend an araknis or Package switch using a vlan. You can have a mix of 4K and non 4k displays and still share the same source while maintaining the 4k. You setup each receiver to match the TV resolution Switching takes about 3 seconds. Does IR, rs232 both ways. Video walls

You bought a non control4 lock and got it to work in composer ? Did you change the module card ?

Have you programmed a control4 advanced lighting scene using lutron dimmers ? I mean sure you can do it. But what happens ?

Subhash there is a reason why programmers are required to take the 4 day class. It’s because control4 wants to maintain the integrity of their system. When non experienced techy people such as yourself try to program your control4 system , you dont do it correctly. I guarantee you won’t do it correctly without attending the class and then even after that you will need c4 support on things which you can’t get Then you will start telling everyone how crappy c4 is because it doesn’t work

If your going to compare essential line to lutron it would not be ra2 maybe casetta. And I would not be using casetta in your 12000 sq ft home. just keep in mind if you don’t use c4 lighting 2 things happen 1. you lose your zigbee mesh so now you will need more c4 zigbee controllers 2 lighting programming will be built and maintained in Luton programming

Whatever you can turn on with a control4 remote control, josh can also do the same thing. Obviously the up down left right commands are more of a challenge. But are still doable

My advice is to get all control4 working first doing everything you want to control. then use josh as a remote control or touch panel on your system. Then have fun.
