swissglobalsolutions got a reaction from Amr in Chowmain - Bond Bridge controls Somfy Shades, RF Ceiling Fans, Fireplaces and more!
Just wanted to say that I'm a big fan of the Bond Bridge and show another use case.
We have used it now in 5 projects and my home and it works great.

We mostly use it for Ceiling fans that are available in our region (Indonesia) and for Somfy Blinds.
In my house I've also used it for things like motorised projector screen and to integrate a very cheap wireless doorbell chime when my mechanical one failed.
Just copied the door bell RF signal and then added it as a generic device.
In Control4 if door bell button gets pressed then the chime goes off immediately. I was very impressed by how fast it is.

Going to make a larger import order for the new Bond Pro devices as I have it spected in all our up coming projects here.

swissglobalsolutions reacted to didiasku in Nvidia Shield Android 11 issue/fix - Kodi too
another thing ive done in the past to fix this (assuming you're using static ip)
    1) go to the apps on the shield, go to shield tv remote service-->force stop-->clear data
    2) go the shield network settings, change the IP to another address
    3) reboot shield
    4) the clearing of the data on the shield tv remote service will generate a new SDDP address, so re-connect shield driver in c4
This has worked for me a few times, but did NOT work on the android 11 update...but thought I'd pass along anyways

Just upgraded my shield to the latest release, Android 11.  Upon doing so, the SDDP connection said "online" but nothing was responsive.  After trials and tribulations, the fix was to disable the ethernet connection on the shield (through the menu) and then simply re-enabling cured the problem.
Additionally, when running Kodi now, I was getting a pop-up about a "new controller detected" upon pressing any button on the c4 remote.  The fix for this is to use your phone app or native shield remote, go into the kodi settings-->add-ons-->peripheral libraries-->joystick support-->disable.  Click ok/apply.  Force close kodi and re-open it, problem should be fixed as well.

I can’t say if it’ll differentiate between monkeys and humans.  It’s best to reach out to Hikvision about that question.
What I can tell you is that all smart events regardless of models are imported into Control4

Questions that you don't see everyday 🤣
Makes a change from the usual 'why does my Sony TV not wake-on-LAN ?' or 'is there a mini driver for Splunge/Oink/Grobble ?'

swissglobalsolutions got a reaction from msgreenf in Keypad Music Button how to turn music off?
In my home I put the Room control driver to have the music button cycle through pre-set favorites/Playlists.
Then I set-up a long press on that music button to switch off the music.
You need to use the Timer agent for that.

    Thank you for reporting this.
We have identified the bug and we have already fixed it.
Doing some batch test before making it live.

This driver is great. I tested Amazon Alexa voice commands before but it was supper slow. Maybe because we are based in Asia and it uses the cloud to execute the commands.

Now using this Driver with Homebridge voice commands via Siri are supper snappy.
    Very Awesome 💪
