  1. My last post got tide to the wrong response. I would like to investigate the experience button. It sounds easier Sent from my LM-V350 using Tapatalk
  2. Very true. However... It depends on what you want to achieve. By putting an arbitrary timer you run the risk of prematurely shutting the fan off before it has properly vented the bathroom. Or... In some cases, like in my home, someone is showering during the day and doesn't put the fan on. But like you said, it saves you 200.00 but you loose functionality. Sent from my LM-V350 using Tapatalk
  3. If you have the occupancy sensor with Humidity option you can check the Humidity when someone comes into the room. Check the status of the Light / Fan. Check the occupancy of the room. Check humidity when the value changes setting a threshold as you trigger for on verses off. You can use occupancy Plus humidity value to decidewhen to turn the fan on / off. 4. Usually any camera adhering to the ONVIF standard. Sent from my LM-V350 using Tapatalk
  5. Thats a great point. I failed to mention that piece... In my case, I have the VideoStorm Netplay app running on the Nvidia Shields which allows for the PIP or multi-Screen or whatever your heart desires to be seen. In actuality, if you wanted, you could actually add the individual cameras as sources instead of the NVR. But thats a personal preference. Sent from my LM-V350 using Tapatalk
  6. I currently have this working in my home using Blue Iris as my NVR and Video Storm for the source (IP Camera) switching to Nvidia Shields, which I use at every TV as my Tuner (HDHomeRun), Netflix, Amazon, Kodi, etc... This setup minimizes input switching, allowing for Picture in Picture with no interruption to what is currently being watched. Sent from my LM-V350 using Tapatalk
  7. One thing you can look into is the Hikvision driver offered by Annex4. It looks like it offers direct camera control, as well as indirect via the NVR. Sent from my LM-V350 using Tapatalk
  8. Looking to purchase: (2) axxess contact sensor - White Sent from my LM-V350 using Tapatalk
  9. I just ordered from Titathink a tt526pw which is a 1080p water proof security camera to augment my other camera's around the house. The tt526pw is super small and supports RSTP and onvif. In my case I will integrate with C4 using Blue Iris as my NVR video storm matrix for the switching. And because I use the Nvidia Shield PIP with Netplay TV works great. In my house every TV has an Nvidia Shield running Netflix, HDHomerun, Amazon, kodi, etc... So Picture in Picture, and any Toast Pop-ups via Annex4 LG driver never interrupts what we're watching. And... Using Blue Iris for all of my camers; with zone triggers setup, if someone goes from the street to the driveway to the walkway, Blue Iris will send Control4 (Ryan's HTTP driver) a command which I then use to switch the camera of my choosing, in this case the door Camera, to any TV that is on. Cool thing about this is that you dont have to wait until someone rings the doorbell. Because of the blue iris trigger essentially you've been watching them walk up well before hand. 10. Not that I'm aware of. I have video storm and (4) Nvidia shields all with IRUSBs which operate independently of each other without interference. What driver are you using. Is it Chowmains IRUSB driver or Vs..? Sent from my LM-V350 using Tapatalk
  11. Which is the waste of Money? Control4 or Google Home Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  12. Okay - Thanks. I was hoping for something big. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  13. Has anyone seen the latest C4 YouTube Video? If so, could you explain what they meant by join them, and "C4 Yourselves". Maybe I missed something obvious. Or... maybe Marketing has mailed it in. Not sure. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  14. Thanks for the feedback. Because I love the C4 solution so much, i'm hoping to be alone on this. I hope that this issue may be related to a bad lot of remotes sharing a common flaw as a result of manufacturing or supplier, and I was "lucky" enough to draw from that lot twice. 15. I hope I'm alone on this but my frustrations with the quality, and / or durability with the C4 SR-260 is starting to build. I've purchased an SR-260 August of 2018 and ~ 3 days later I had to have it RMAd because it started emitting a low level sound and the screen was black. Fast forward to April of 2019, I had to replace that same SR-260 because of the same low level noise screen blacked behavoir. So less then a year the remote lasted. NOW... the replacement SR-260 arrived yesterday, and guess what..? New batteries but dead on arrival. What the heck. At the cost of these remotes with no extented warranty options, I cant begin to explain how angry I am. Obviously I will have to get this new unit RMA'd, but the real point is: - The length of time without a remote wating for its replacement only to receive a bad unit. Mind you, this is the second time this has happened to me! - The fact that we pay a premium for these remotes I would expect that should last more than a year. And I get it. Any remote that are abused wouldn't last a month much less a year. But... that is not the case in my house. The living room remote is lightly used. And given the history and my overall suspicion of build quality, I cant help but feel angry about the situation. - I would be okay with purchasing an extra remote to bridge the gap often seen with the procurement and adding the of a new remote to a project. Or, the long delay with the RMA process; with a new unit not being sent until they receive the broken one first. I will be placing a call to Control 4 and following up in writing, expressing my grave concerns regarding their cost to quality ratio. Anyone else with similar frustrations should do the same. 16. I wanted to publicly thank Neil for his assistance with my system. I found myself in a bind, and Neil, along with this forum, came through. As with most homes and their home automation endeavors, I have to constantly balance my personal thirst for technology, and my wife's desire for things; "Just to work". Fast forward to my latest project of installing and integrating the Video-Storm HDMI over IP solution. After getting the solution working I thought getting it integrated was going to be a lay up. However, after exhausting two integrators understanding of the V/s product, I asked the forum for help. In comes Neil, not only getting the solution integrated but also taking the time to fix other items the previous integrators broke during their respective attempts. Whenever I put my thoughts in writing I try not to overstate or romanticize events or their results. But after dealing with; integrators who are either: - Too busy to help. - Short or condescending. - Poor follow-up / follow through. Neil has: - Restored my confidence in my selection of Control 4. - Restored my confidence in C4s dealer centric approach. - And... above all else, makes me extremely proud to say when colleagues ask: what ecosystem I subscribe to; and I explain to them the Control 4 advantage. 1 Parts Technology! 2 Parts Dealer Support (a.k.a Neil) Warmest Regards, Corey Bell Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
