  1. Has anyone installed yet and given it a whirl?
  2. answering the chime doorbell would be great.
  3. Agreed. Looks like the slightly modified Neeo design that should have been released three years ago. better late than...
  4. Would be AMAZING to actually see the long awaited and never delivered IP control with deep 2-way integration for Xfinity, not just for voice control, but also for channel guide on the halo remotes/T4s.
  5. Sure, but i've sunk 6-figures into bringing C4 into my home and the primary method of my control of that system is either clunky and non-functioning or just non-functioning because the screen dim problem on the 260s or the buttonless design on the neeo. so it's all expensive, but as I noted in an earlier post, if i'm spending that much money i want a primary interface that doesn't look and act like it was pulled off a 2002 radio shack shelf. Remotes aside, I suppose I believe that as a control system, C4, Savant and Crestron Home all pretty much can do the same things. I also suppose that I presume Crestron Home is likely a more polished user experience since the programmers have a more thorough and regimented training and certification program (so I've gathered). Although it does seem like Savant is doing something unique with Savant Power and the integration of smart circuits and panels for better understanding and scene triggering based on energy consumption, and production if solar is added.
  6. related to another thread topic on third party remotes, i wonder if C4 isn't investing in it's remotes because it's planning on going fully remote-less with josh?
  7. The 260 is like using dial up internet at this point. but as you noted it's the only functional remote. our neeo hasn't been taken off dock more than a couple times. every day we're forced to use antiquated tech, i keep thinking of switching everything over to crestron home or savant. Forget cutting edge, i just want what crestron and savant were able to deliver for their customers 3 years ago.
  8. Absolutely aware. This thread started as AVA remote as a third party solution for c4. Just pointing out the lack of c4 remote evolution. And that Ava isn’t a 3rd party remote id be interested in.
  9. this AVA buttonless remote is a joke. C4 needs to show up on the remote front. I've been patient for a while, but at a certain point if they won't compete with Crestron Home or Savant on the remote side, home owners will have to make decisions how important a remote is. Maybe C4 is banking on a remoteless home as they cozy up to josh.ai and that's why they've fallen asleep at the remote wheel?
  10. Tried for about 2 years to get DriversLab/Homeation Carrier Infinity driver to work - but it never did and then gave up. Don't know if it's all faulty coding, or lack of proper setup, but never worked.
  11. Will be very happy to purchase if it works better than the current driver!
  12. 100% These Carrier tstats and APP are garbage. Nothing but trouble. Wish I could use my C4 tstats...
  13. Thanks @alanchow. I take that to mean that a button can be programmed to cue up an audio source fed from a matrix, but no audio navigation with the screen like their sonos integration for folder/source browsing and cover art?
  14. This looks really interesting. @alanchow any hope of room audio integration via matrix? At the moment it looks like it only supports Sonos.
  15. I've nearly comes to terms with losing variable speed. I'm not convinced I'm actually saving anything with the infinity system, and frankly, regret spending the extra money for infinity. I think i'd really just rather have all of tstats controlled from C4 (i have 2 systems on C4 tstats and 2 on carrier infinity so depending on where i'm looking to change temp I need to go to the right app). system alerts I suppose is important - I'm curious if I disconnect the infinity tstat if I'd still be notified of alerts on the mobile app, or likely not since the tstat is the brains of the system that also connects to to the network?
  16. nope. everyday i say to myself i'm removing my carrier infinity tstats from the wall and putting the old c4 ones back on...
  17. Very odd. Dealer did notify me that they arrived last week, but still no sign of them on my end.
  18. Up and running now! Yes, Brian was very helpful. Thanks!
  19. Has everyone been waiting months to get these? My dealer put an order in the first week of August for (4) contemporary faceplates and (4) contemporary customized keycaps of varying color combinations. Need to get the samples to decide the right color combo to convert the house, about 225 sets of keycaps and faceplates.
  20. Is this driver still functional? I'm having trouble getting anything loaded on T4 using experience button or on desktop.
  21. Still surprising so little development on the energy monitoring front. Sense I know was a big win, but sense will not work with my home wiring. I do have a zigbee smart meter and monitoring device by Rainforest Automation that pushes the data out to Wattvision for reporting (Rainforest also has it's own app and reporting). Any idea if I could use BNET Solutions BLCons driver to display consumption as a gauge experience button? Is there any other way to bring Wattvision or Rainforest Automation API data into a T4 display?
  22. Interesting idea. what about screen burn-in then, deactivating the screensaver? Still seems like opening up the screensaver for some customization should be a no brainer - that's the face of C4 in the home majority of the time (from a touch panel perspective).
  23. Thanks Neo. I'd still love to figure out a way to customize the screensaver to incorporate some sensor statuses like crestron.
  24. Any way to have C4 touch panels show door lock , garage or alarm status like with Crestron?
