  1. I have had a similar issue off and on connecting to two different properties. Thank you @Darin, PM C4 CX,UI for looking into this. If it happens again I will DM you a log too.
  2. I second that - I’ve worked with Mitch for three years now and he has helped support our systems at two properties. Mitch is incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, experienced, and very reasonable. He’s a pro and we’d be lost without him!
  3. I have an update on the fingerprint version which, unfortunately, mirrors your experience. I setup the lock through the Yale app then tried to add the C4 module through the Yale app so the lock would see it and then could start enrollment with C4. Sadly, the lock refused to see the module at all - so, unless I was doing something wrong (which is always possible), my experience is that it appears that the firmware of the fingerprint version won't recognize the module. The normal Assure 2 locks work fine with the C4 module so the firmware between the standard Assure 2 and the fingerprint version are different in that respect. Additionally, I tried enrolling two fingerprints to the lock through the Yale app and found that the fingerprint sensor was extremely unreliable. So much so that we would never use it over simply entering the code. So this fingerprint version is being returned because it won't work directly with the C4 module and the fingerprint sensor doesn't work well. Instead, we'll be using the standard version again because it works with the C4 module and is very reliable. I didn't try the Apple Home Key version of the lock because it doesn't come in the color (oil rubbed bronze) that we need.
  4. Sorry to hear that sounds like a pain and frustrating - hope you’re able to get it working again. Good luck and let us know how it goes!
  5. Curious if, when different users unlock the lock using Home Key, do you get different "LAST_UNLOCKED_BY" values in Composer? With the regular Assure 2 lock, this variable stores the name of the user that enters their code with the name equal to the name associated with that code in lock manager in C4 navigator. This is useful because you can program the system to respond differently based on who is entering the house (like housekeeper v family). Probably anyone with a Home Key is going to be treated the same anyway in programming but just curious.....
  6. Fantastic news! Thank you for posting! I'll be picking one or more up in the next few months now for sure!
  7. I'm trying to install Composer HE 3.4 using parallels with a Windows 11 VM on my M1 Mac. This has always worked with all earlier versions but now the installer crashes the VM every time and it won't install at all. I've tried creating a new VM and no dice. Is anyone else having this problem? EDIT: NM I figured it out apparently the creation of a desktop shortcut during install was causing a system crash, when I unchecked that option before install, the install moved along fine with no crashes.......computers!
  8. This is great news! Thank you for sharing! Looking forward to hearing how your testing with the C4 module goes when you can try that too
  9. More likely that the lock would have firmware upgraded. They do upgrade the firmware of the lock through the Yale app from time to time which is a benefit of the Yale app over older locks that could never have their firmware upgraded. The firmware of the C4 card can also be upgraded through Composer so that's always a possibility too though.
  10. We're in the US and I do plan on purchasing one in the next few months and will update then if someone hasn't tried it sooner than that. Sounds like it could go either way....
  11. https://www.theverge.com/2023/9/27/23891513/yale-assure-lock-2-touch-fingerprint-plus-homekey The Verge article says the Apple Home Keys version won't initially support the wave module which makes me wonder if the lock's firmware will need to be updated to support that - and possibly also the C4 module. Hopefully that's not the case - look forward to hearing how your testing goes @ashwinmj!
  12. That's an interesting question - I didn't know about the Yale wifi bridge product. I'm afraid I don't know the answer to that. Bluetooth is built into every lock and normally to add wifi you'd use the wifi module but that would preclude using the C4 zigbee module. But I see what you're saying about whether the wifi bridge paired to the lock's bluetooth would work, then maybe if that works you could plug in the zigbee module and have that work too. If the Yale wifi bridge is compatible with the Assure 2 locks then maybe this would work but I don't think we'll know unless somebody tests it. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
  13. Wow these look great - I'm going to be in the market for a new lock soon so I'll probably try the Apple Home Keys version with the C4 module at some point. I'm only guessing of course but I think there's a good chance the C4 module will work with these if we know they work with the other Assure Lock 2s and these are variations of those. Of course we won't know until we try them but here's hoping. Appreciate you flagging these new versions and sending the links!
  14. I did - rather than using the gear like on the old keypads, with the Assure Lock 2 you initiate the pairing using the app
  15. Very interesting I hadn’t heard about these and can’t seem to find anything on it. Are you able to share a link to them? Interested in learning more sound like great options. No way of knowing for sure but would think if it supports the modules like the other assure lock 2s then they might just work.
  16. Thank you for sharing your experience with the 128bpt. The C4 integration with our vista 21ipLTE has been flawless but we’re debating for another house between doing another 21ipLTE or the 128bpt since the later supports more zones which is nice. But if the 128bpt is still a problem as you’re saying then we’ll probably just go with another 21ipLTE for reliability. Appreciate the help.
  17. There are some old threads that indicate problems using the Honeywell VISTA 128BPT with C4 through the 4232CBM (delayed zone responsiveness, etc) - is anyone aware of these problems having been solved or are there still compatibility issues?
  18. Good to know thank you if we do go with Sonos will make sure we have this. Does heos need something in the rack the way Sonos does with the port?
  19. Oh good find thank you. My wife likes the Heos 150 for the kitchen because it has the preset buttons. Does anyone know if these act the same as Sonos in terms of being treated just like a wired audio endpoint in C4?
  20. Thank you Ari - appreciate your help on this. Agree this is something Snap should offer themselves. To clarify regarding Sonos: will a Sonos device present itself as an audio end point? By that I mean that currently with wired distributed audio we pick a Sirius station or a Tidal selection through the TS or App (or programmed keypad) and that plays on the designated speaker for that room - or we can add it to other rooms too. So would the Sonos One act like the wired speaker in this sense that it could be designated as the speaker for that room and we could select it the same way we currently do through the C4 app? We don't currently have Sonos at all so accessing Sonos presets UI etc isn't important to us since we do everything through C4....
  21. I apologize for the basic question here but wondering about what options there are for wireless audio endpoints in C4? Our primary home has the C4 system we've had for a few years now and we have distributed audio wired throughout the property with in-ceiling and outdoor speakers - but now we're purchasing a vacation home we plan to outfit with C4 as well. For a number of reasons, I'd like to avoid pulling wire through walls at this new place so I'm exploring options for how to have wireless audio endpoints. I see the Triad One is a nice option as it appears to be just what I'm looking for - an audio endpoint where you can send audio and control perfectly within C4 navigators. However, it does require speakers connected to the Triad One device which, in a number of rooms, would look clunky. Ideally, I'd like the Triad One in a Sonos One form factor where the speakers and the device are one thing so it won't take up as much space. Are there any options available like this? It doesn't sound like Sonos One can be used in this way....
  22. Fantastic! So glad that worked for you! Enjoy the lock - we’ve had ours about a year now and have been very happy rock solid reliability and great features.
  23. Great update! We love this driver it gets used multiple times a day every day! Highly recommend it!
