  1. I managed to get a few of them up and running and they worked great. Couldn't believe how quickly the apps launched. These would be great as miniapps. I haven't really thoroughly tested, I did note that they dont "wake" the appleTV if its in screensaver mode. But will give em a run and will report any issues.
  2. Setup 4 AppleTV's in about 10min. Went perfectly. No issues. Controls are snappy and responsive. Nice work.
  3. This is big news. Thanks @IntrinsicGroup. Already installing and putting it through some tests. The inclusion of additional controls such as Home & Control Panel commands already makes this better than the standard Control4 driver. Is there any documentation on this feature? Would LOVE to play around with app launching and not afraid to code.
  4. Hoping the updated IP driver to support voice control will also allow additional features: - mapping of AppleTV commands to Halo's soft buttons (so we can finally add support for the opening of tvOS control centre) - mini app support
  5. As well as Siri support with AppleTV's.
  6. Looks like Yale announced a new line of Assure locks that have swappable modules to add compatibility to different smart home platforms. Every lock has bluetooth and Apple Home support, but its interesting that you can add a wifi module (Alexa, google, smart things) or a z-wave module. Assuming the z-wave module will get a C4 driver. We might have our first decent homekit & C4 compatible smart lock. Woohooo! https://www.theverge.com/2022/9/22/23364908/yale-assure-2-smart-lock-apple-home-matter-price-release-date Note: I don't count August locks. The lock itself and the C4 driver are too buggy.
  7. Have you had your dealer(s) file a ticket with C4? Would love to hear what they say. I've been putting off installing the new RA3 hub for fear of instability.
  8. Hey C4 iOS Devs, looks like ya’ll pushed 322.29.0.1673 to the App Store yesterday and now none of my cameras work. They displayed the crossed out camera icon. After refreshing the settings, tapping any camera now crashes the app. I’m using unifi protect gear using the unifi protect gateway driver v. 20220228. All cameras worked fine until the app update yesterday, no other updates were performed to my knowledge. iOS C4 Version: 322.29.0.1673 iOS Version: 15.5 Director: 3.3.0.628678-res
  9. Thanks for the update @416to305. Disappointing, but at least we have functioning basic features. Sounds like this driver has a long way to go though, hopefully the driver is being actively worked on. Since we have a public driver, is there anything that @msgreenf can comment on?
  10. Online driver database still shows the RA3 hub driver as a V1. Which I believe is what @416to305 tested with no luck. It doesn’t sound like we have a working driver yet.
  11. Refreshing this topic and the drivers page daily be like:
  12. Had a few hours to test last night and played around a bit. Here’s what I tried: - 2021 driver still produces 10s power on delay. Tried via SDDP and static IP connection. - 2022 driver reduced power on delay to 6s. - 2020 driver doesn’t pair to 2021 TV, guessing the pairing command is different. Note: 2020 driver produces no power on delay with our 2020 frame TV’s. - Tried manually programming on/off commands to test. - Discovered 3-4 art mode ON programming commands. - can’t find a consistent artmode OFF command. Art mode mini driver has on/off programming commands, ON doesn’t seem to do anything. OFF command turned off art mode and then turned off the TV. Can’t get it to just turn off art mode and leave the tv on. - reinstalled mini driver, no change. - can’t find any other art mode off programming commands. At a loss as to how to address this power on delay. Custom driver? New TV’s? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  13. Hey C4 Devs, I”m experiencing an odd issue with our wall mounted iPads. If the iPads haven’t been used for an extended period of time, something like 6-8hrs min, then the app doesn’t seem to work anymore. The app UI works, I’m able to navigate rooms, tap buttons, move light sliders, etc. but the actions the UI is associated with dont actually trigger, so those buttons dont do anything, the dimming sliders dont dim lights, nothing actually happens. I dont get any error messages in the app, no disconnect modal. I have to leave the iOS app, swipe up to quit it, and restart it from scratch to reconnect (maybe a settings sync might “reconnect” the UI, I’ll try it next time it happens). iOS app: 322.22.0 iOS Version: 15.5 Director: 3.3.0.628678
  14. Hey dealers, have a favour to ask of ya’ll. Because the new media proxy allows device specific transport controls, can you please nudge C4 to update the native AppleTV driver to support the TV/Home button and a long press of the TV/Home button (reveals the tvOS control panel for easy airplay and user settings)? These button presses are supported natively, as they can be programmed into the remote UI using custom buttons. And surprisingly there is already a home button in the AppleTV media controls but it doesn’t seem to do anything on the 10 AppleTV installations we have. The custom button solution works in the meantime, but its not ideal as they exist outside the media proxy and a user has to hit the Neeo’s Home button to leave the AppleTV’s transport controls and return to the remote’s home page, then swipe to reveal the remote’s custom buttons. I’ve had to teach this to all our family members, but its just not that intuitive. So please fire C4 a feature request or driver update email and let them know this would be a great quality of life update for AppleTV users. Thank you!
  15. Searched the driver database at drivers.control4.com this morning and there appears to be a V1 driver for the RA3 Processor. Surprisingly, the build date is Mar 12th of this year though. Has anyone given it a try?
  16. Let’s keep things civil and minimize the shitposting, name calling, etc. yes it sucks @msgreenf can’t provide any more info. Let’s infer from that post that he’s under an NDA and can’t share any more details. Can’t blame him for that. I wish I knew more info too, I have ra3 gear sitting in a box waiting to be installed by my dealer. And he won’t provide any more info either. So that’s just where we are. At least we can be happy knowing that a driver is in the works and it’s being tested. Fingers crossed it’s not too much longer before it’s released. also, @msgreenf’s posts are super short and to the point, but keep in mind that he responds to 90% of the threads on here and is a huge resource for the community. So I would imagine the guy has to keep things short just to keep up.
  17. Hey C4 mobile devs, I wanted to point out a UX pain point that I come across quite frequently. Device and App Details: Device: iPad Mini 5th Gen iOS: iOS 15.5 C4 iOS: 322.19.0 C4 Director: 3.2.4.615802 Issue Description: When our iPads loose their internet connection (often due to network changes, etc.) the C4 app displays a disconnect modal that tells the user that there is no data connection. When the iPad regains its internet connection the user has to dismiss the modal. Then the app auto-navigates away from the room it was on to the settings screen. The user has to tap the home, then the connect button, then tap the home button to return back to the room they were in. All in that’s 4 taps to reconnect to the controller after the internet is restored. We have 5 iPads mounted on the walls in our home, and this has to be repeated on every iPad. This is also a real pain point at our vacation home as we can’t reconnect the iPads since we’re not there physically. Whenever we have guests, contractors, housekeepers, or anyone else in the house they are unable to use the iPads as they require someone to manually reconnect them. We often have to walk them through it via video chat before they can use them. Ideal Experience: When the iPad looses their connection display a dismissible toast message (instead of a modal) grey out the interface so the interface works to navigate around, but you can’t action on any buttons, favourites, etc (actions are inactive). When the iPad reconnects, then auto-reconnect to the controller and display a dismissible toast message, and make the actions active again. Additional Notes: This would be a really smooth experience and would prevent me from constantly having to walk around my house, drive to our vacation home, or have awkward video chats whenever we do firmware upgrades, change settings, or we loose power, or anything like that. Also, IMO the toast messages would be a preferred UX for a lot of the connection and sync modals that are currently used. Combine that with the use of device/interface/action states (instead of not showing a home’s UI at all) and you could really improve the “perceived” speed of the app, actions, and connections.
