LSDave
It works great.. I have had a few delays in messages some times. But it is very rare for that to happen.

c44me
Control4 2.0 (or higher) Extra Vegetables have fully tested this driver on Control4 OS 2.x. It may work with older versions of the OS but this is not supported.so is anyone using it successfully with 1.7 ?
seth_j
awww... shucks guys. <3I tested it on 1.7.4 once during the initial testing.. I'm not sure if thats a EV recommendation because of their licensing program they put on top. You can always do the 14 day trial they offer to see if it works or not. What upgrades would you guys like to see? I was messing around with it the other day with few other apps. There is one obvious addition that will be happening sooner or later.
seth_j
I've also heard the iOS app works better than Android.. so YMMV. iOS is nearly instant whereas Android takes 5-10 minutes sometimes.Android.. bleh.
tebery
Agreed that it is a great app!Couple questions if anyone can answer. Is it possible to send different messages to different iDevices?(ie, I want to send a message to wifes iPhone if she left her garage door open)Can you assign different sounds to different notifications?I use Elysium sound for my notifications. Anyone know if there is a .wav file so I can use the same sound for home speaker announcements? Thanks!
wappinghigh
What upgrades would you guys like to see?I'd like a way to be able to easily use push notify to set up scheduled reminders. Even one off reminders.I also agree with tebery^. Specify different notifications for different idevices...Though I can see this may be limited to the inbuilt abilities of Prowl???? Ramorous
Specify different notifications for different idevicesJust setup two drivers, one per iDevice. I have 3 setup, 1 for my iPhone, my wife's and iPad. They all get different notices (although mostly wife and I get the same)

Tokead
What sort of price range should I expect to pay for this, in Canada?Do I need a dealer to recognize the phones, or am I good to go once it's in the project?Tx,Toke
Ryanjackson
The Driver is 30$ dollars. and then whatever time your dealer charges you to install the driver. You also need to setup a prowl account and have the API key ready for your dealer to put into the driver. Should be able to do it all remotely...Ryan

ScottGA
My C4 dealer is setting up PushNotify and I have Prowl installed on my iPhone but can't find the API Key that he needs. Can somebody tell me where to find my API key?
Ryanjackson
I think you have to log into prowl on the web to generate the API key.Ryan
seth_j
Yep. Log into the prowlapp website and there is button for API Settings.https://www.prowlapp.com/api_settings.php

Ryanjackson
Did you guys get the app for free after those shameless plugs?Haha I wish. Paid full price and it gets used multiple times every day. The best part i find about it is it doens't fill up my inbox with non-crucial emails...Ryan
seth_j
If the Prowl app was $15 I would still pay for it. That app is insanely cool. I'd really like to build that functionality into GoRemote someday. Perhaps in version 2.0.... which is in the early stages.

Monopoly
I've been using the app w/ the EV driver for about a month... Works flawlessly. With iOS it only lags about a second.
seth_j
I've heard the Android app is a little slower... up to minutes. Android didn't have a real push notification service until ICS... probably the reason why.
