chopedogg88
We have released version 110 of our Google Home driver, which fixes an issue that was introduced by Control4 OS 2.10. If you are an existing customer and plan to upgrade to 2.10, please update your driver (can be done in-place, without removing the current driver instance) to 110 after you move to 2.10. Version 110 of our driver can be downloaded from our website: https://www.epic-systems.com/products/google-home-driver-for-control4 Thank you for your continued support of our drivers! bsanf3
BoBlo712
Hey Ari, just to confirm, the driver is now working in 2.10? Does it still require an android device for the initial pairing? I went to the site and it says to not purchase still. Look forward to trying it out!
mdt8813
What is the status of your Google Home driver? Mine is not working and I assume it is based on the issue with 2.10. I just updated to 2.10.542164 and still not working.
chopedogg88
It does work with 2.10 as long as you already had it paired in 2.9. Then you just need to update the driver to the latest version which is available on the product page on our website. If you haven't already paired the Google home with our driver, then you are SOL until we can figure out a way to handle the new pairing mechanism. An email was sent to all of the customers who had purchased the driver, you should have received this information already in that email.Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
Integrator_MO
@chopedogg88, Have a client currently on 2.9.1, and he purchased a Google Home device yesterday. Went on Epic Systems site to purchase the driver for him, and the price is $25,000.00.... Is this a typo for $250??? Like to get him setup tomorrow before leaving town. Please let me know. Thanks! chopedogg88
Nope it's meant to deter people from buying the driver since it's no longer working. Says so right on the top of the page but nobody reads it. Page is only up so existing customers have a place to download the driver from if they are updating to 2.10 and are already paired. zaphod
Don't forget to buy the AuioQuest Power Cable to use with your Google Home and this driver: https://www.amazon.com/AudioQuest-NRG-WEL-Signature-Power/dp/B0055OM9WS

chopedogg88
We fixed the driver to work on 2.10, and then right after we released the version that worked on 2.10, they changed the way that the pairing works, rendering the driver unable to work, regardless of c4 version, if you had not already performed the initial pairing. PapaSmurf74
Any updates on getting pairing working again? I'm interested in getting the driver.
chopedogg88
Not looking good. I recommend that you try our Echo driver instead, it works much better anyways and we are about to release a new version which works with the newest Echos and is even easier to use! lippavisual
It won't be until Google allows direct integration. Otherwise, use the IFTTT driver to link to your Google device.
jamesmbond7
Google has made a lot of changes this year--- any change to this Control4 driver working with Google now? IFTTT not preferred, loved this driver using Philips Hue when it worked 1-2 years ago.
