  1. I'm reading through some documentation, and it seems there are some known conflicts between different firmware versions and/or hardware revisions (I meant the panel by the way), though I can't imagine that would cause 'just' normal user codes not to work...
  2. Odd. Did you check firmware versions, was the 230 setup properly in the panel?
  3. Can you call for status feedback? IE press star and get info read from the panel - if not, that may well still be due to lack of power.
  4. LOL. Not that I'm disputing that as such - that is in part because it's relatively new, and a lot of industries/people with different backgrounds have tried to jump on board (especially early on) - and got 'burned' by lack of understanding, ability and/or resources. There's a lot to know about this industry and everything it touches on, and then on top of that there's financial aspects, retail, service, marketing and 'simple' business savvy. The individual who can do all of that at once is extremely rare if not non-existent. Even divided among a few people to start a company with that isn't easy to find. I simply don't see how any 'company' can be a one-man company even in the beginning and hope to succeed. If you truly desire to start something in this business you have all my best wishes and then some - but be warned that in recent years C4 has been quite strict in it's requirements especially in established markets. It will not be easy to acquire a license. Talk to the local rep as has been suggested to get a feel for what you need to know and do - but understand that your best bet is to work FOR a dealer for awhile (doesn't have to be C4 as such, and be warned - 'awhile' is not going to be a few months) - but at the same time understand that most dealers will have little desire to have 'part-time' programmers/system designers, in no small part because it will take time and money to train people - and they will want to see a return on that investment. This isn't likely to happen. First of all, online training is limited (actual certification of base level will require an actual course on location) Second - that isn't free, with travel cost etc involved so it's doubtful anyone would likely 'just sign you up' - going back to the return on investment. Third - It's fairly unlikely to find a dealer who's going to 'sign up' someone based solely on a request to do so on a public forum Fourth - I don't know all the details by a long shot, but I'm thinking that would be against any dealer/distributor agreement.
  5. There's a weird bug in the originally posted version, where if the IR wasn't placed quite right, up would register as up and select. The drivers at the links posted have been updated (for the dealers - version number has been updated on both drivers so driver manager will prompt to update with no need to delete and add drivers)
  6. Could contact Houselogix or TheDriversLab - as 3rd party providers for drivers, they are more likely to know the hows and whats of that process than dealers.
  7. Well you can't use the 280 - that's for NEO panels. There's certainly some new functionality, and yes it's a much nicer interface. If you have an existing 100 and it's working fine, get the driver from houselogix, it'll be about the same cost and a lot less hassle.
  8. Well now - no luck in getting this player distributed yet so I just connected it local for the purpose of doing this driver. c4i driver file for pre 2.6: https://www.dropbox.com/s/99vm6y1q9mwb5im/dvd_Samsung_UBD-K8500.c4i?dl=0 c4z driver file, will show custom icon in 2.8.1 and up (should work on earlier versions down to 2.6) https://www.dropbox.com/s/4iog1cdwja2e2ca/dvd_Samsung_UBD-K8500.c4z?dl=0 All 'different name' buttons are available for programming or mapping to the color buttons/custom 1-3 buttons. I added both ABCD and their respective colors to the driver as codes, for redundancy. 'eject' is mapped to channel up 'pulldown' (info/123 hold) menu to channel down - this one's a bit wonky though 'home' is mapped to page up 'tools' is mapped to page down 'netflix' is mapped to record 'return' has been mapped to both prev and cancel 'title/pop-up' is menu 'disc menu' is guide The downloads/driver section of the forums does not yet allow c4z files (already requested) - but once it does I'll upload them there as well.
  9. Yep, I'm aware. Just picked some up that SHOULD work - they've been flawless with 4K media players and 4K scaling BluRay players so far and supposedly tested to run HDR content. We'll find out tonight. Oddly, even force set to 1080p I wasn't getting anything...
  10. I've found the old bluray drivers to not work all that well - particularly cursor arrows. I've hit a bit of a wall in creating the driver, as I'm no longer getting a picture out of the player at the moment - in other words I cannot test the driver I did already make. I doubt the local 7/11 is carrying HDMI 2.0 cables (which i suspect/hope is the issue), nor would I trust them - so It's on hold until I can get my hands on some cables tomorrow.
  11. I should have on later today and will be creating a new driver for it (with it's own icon). I'll be happy to post it once done
  12. ^ Just understand that you may see the issues described with that driver (you may be lucky and it won't though)
  13. I can, the temp driver was ALWAYS 'As-Is' by Card Access, and since the take-over of the devices C4 dropped it. Because it's buggy. What happens is that they stop loading info into the Temp driver on start-up. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. Some projects (including my own) some load fine, some do not. It can be temporarily fixed by reconnecting the driver to the 'node' in Pro, but it will fail on next reboot. Even for me (who can obviously change it easily enough, but has more intended reboots than the average user) it's a pain. So, I've moved over to: https://www.houselogix.com/shop/temp-tracker That one handles all sorts of devices, including Card Access units, Axxess units and more.
  14. Each partition has a stay and away true/false variable - you would simply program based on that.
  15. the new drivers are all based on the integration module name vs the panel name, ie Superbus 2000
  16. yes 422 to 232. Notre that AFAIK at this point in time you'll need a POWERED converter (not port-powered)
  17. To be fair, by the time you've bought a IT-230 and the converter, for existing setups it may be cheaper to use that driver instead (easier if nothing else).
  18. FYI, the new DSC security drivers are now available for use via Control4. NOTE that for the older POWERPC series, a swap needs to be mad to an it-230 (not the older it-100) which also means a RS422 to 232 adapter will be needed. The driver for the DSC NEO unit (using the TL-280) is able to do rs232 (again using adapter as above) or IP. Before jumping the gun - please note that there may be version requirements for your panel (PC series in particular) to be able to use the new modules. Oh and don't ask about other brands/Honeywell - I don't have the answer on when
  19. The last link is indeed ONLY about T3 and yes it works the same for EA (separate tab in the agent - different aspect ratio). There are 'hack' ways of doing it on older devices (and no I'm not going to into it).
  20. I would look at the security panel - first, one would assume the exit lights and latching is a matter of some odd programming in the panel itself - the feedback you see is coming from the panel - not C4 itself. As for quick-arm, this may be a problem with the version - or double check you indeed have quick-arm enabled (and not quick-exit)
  21. Sounds like the old security driver is still the security endpoint for those rooms. Beyond that it is STRONGLY recommended to not add a security driver to a project that already has one. Delete both - start anew.
  22. The programming itself is as simple as it gets - there's a 'disarm' action right under the driver (select the partition, not the 'main' driver) - assuming you have that 'default code' set, that's all it needs.
