I have the basic Zappiti players and unfortunately now that they are gone they no longer have the cloud so my library art is all gone. I didn't realize it was gone as I hadn't used it in a few months and tried loading up the Zappiti Explorer the other day to find offline and then read about no more Zappiti. So now I'm wondering if there is a way to get back all of my movie art. Otherwise, the Zappiti is only good to access my network drives that have the movies stored which is pretty generic. The whole reason I liked the Zappiti was the artwork organization.

I have finally gotten around to updating my macro for keypad backlighting in my new house. I normally have backlighting white but programming to change to green if any of my 3 garage doors is open so I know if they are open while indoors. However, there seems to be some major lag and some keypads aren't changing as they should with the programming. I'm attaching screenshots of the programming for garage door open or closed as well as the macro. Not sure if this is processing speed issue or something else

I have a keypad KD120 that I cannot get Alexa to add. I have 3 of these in my Bonus Room each controlling 3 separate light banks: front, middle, back (as well as media and fan switches in the room). However, the middle one will not add to Alexa no matter what I've done. I've checked in MyControl4 and it's enabled. I've renamed it, rediscovered, disconnected then reconnected, everything for settings is identical to the other 2 other than the light load it controls and name. Any help or suggestions? Has anyone had this issue with certain C4 devices not being recognized?

Just an update, I've updated to the version 3 driver and now this issue has again started up again. From what I can tell, the issue is with the Advanced Lighting Agent. Apparently, setting the LIFX brightness to 0% in lighting agent does not set the LIFX bulb to 0% but rather 1% as shown in the LIFX app. Not sure if this is something that can be fixed but it's pretty damn annoying to wake up in the middle of the night with 1 of 4 light bulbs in your master bedroom coming on randomly for no reason.

EA5 screen saver not working
drmark12pa replied to drmark12pa's topic in Troubleshooting, Workarounds, & Bugs
Now I'm lost as I don't know what I should be looking at if I already set it up on screen of EA5 as in my first set of pictures and in Composer the only thing I see for screen saver is in AGENTs -
EA5 screen saver not working
drmark12pa replied to drmark12pa's topic in Troubleshooting, Workarounds, & Bugs
Finally got around to checking Composer. I see the screen saver section but this didn't help as I was hoping my screen saver would be showing the current media artwork of the track playing in selected room but this doesn't appear to be the case. -
EA5 screen saver not working
drmark12pa replied to drmark12pa's topic in Troubleshooting, Workarounds, & Bugs
I'll look in Composer but I think I've set a screen saver on my other EA5 in the past. Normally I don't use the onscreen navigator anywhere else in the house but will probably use it in my theater -
I just added EA5 for my theater room but cannot seem to get the screen saver to work properly. I've tested it with currently playing media, date/time, custom, and cannot get it to do anything except a black screen once it triggers (I've been testing it with 15 second timer). Once the timer hits the timeout, screen goes black with no media info, date/time, etc. Not sure what I'm missing here....

Best C4/Card Access device to monitor garage door
drmark12pa replied to drmark12pa's question in Question & Answer
Is there a reason you use 2 sensors for open/closed? I've only had a single sensor on a door in the past though it doesn't show if partially vs fully open as your setup would -
Best C4/Card Access device to monitor garage door
drmark12pa replied to drmark12pa's question in Question & Answer
Any recommendations on a wireless sensor probably C4 to attach the magnet contacts to? I might just leave the current Card Access relay in place that I have as the Z2IO runs around $140 and really only need the open/closed function in addition to the relays I have now doesn't seem worth the added expense for 3 garage doors when some sensors are quite inexpensive. My main controlled is an EA5 no CORE controllers in my current setup. -
Best C4/Card Access device to monitor garage door
drmark12pa replied to drmark12pa's question in Question & Answer
I've been looking at the Z2IO product. Would this just replace one of the WCS10-R-ZP relays so it could be both a relay and connect to a magnet on the garage door? I already have the power adapter in place (it is plugged into the outlet that garage door opener plugs into the ceiling). The rest I assume is just Zigbee wireless doing the rest of the work between the unit and C4. -
Best C4/Card Access device to monitor garage door
drmark12pa replied to drmark12pa's question in Question & Answer
Any recommendations on a what sensor would be used for this? -
I'm looking for guidance on recommendations for best device to monitor OPEN/CLOSED status of a garage door possibly Card Access or similar. I currently have the WCS10-R-ZP relay controlling the opening and closing of 3 doors (1 unit on each) but this is a "dumb" relay" and doesn't keep track of open vs. closed status.

Any idea why there is the slide to the right which then shows and up and down arrow? Not sure what exactly the function here is supposed to actually be

Recently added a few lighting scenes for some LIFX strips to light my kitchen cabinetry using Chowmain driver updated to 3.0. Can anyone tell me why there are up/down arrows on one of these scenes in the mobile app?

Interested in Sleep Number integration here as well

EA5 on screen navigator
drmark12pa replied to drmark12pa's topic in Troubleshooting, Workarounds, & Bugs
Yes, I believe so this is screen shot of the EA5 "ROOM" bindings for the 3 rooms that should be seeing the EA5 via matrix -
I'm having trouble accessing my EA5 as an on-screen navigator. It's hooked up to my matrix throughout the house. However the HDMI output on the EA5 shows audio only for some reason.... Everything else appears to be hooked up correctly but for some reason it doesn't seem like EA5 is outputting a video signal based on the bindings. In the photo below you can see the HDMI output only shows audio not audio/video as I would expect?

Can a keypad dimmer control a non-dimmable load?
drmark12pa replied to DLite's question in Question & Answer
C4 should consider making a configurable keypad switch not just a dimmer. Plenty of lights aren't really designed to be on a dimmer (ie outside lights, utility room, garage, pantry, entry) and having a configurable keypad at certain locations is ideal for alot of applications -
Wow, I just connected this TV to C4 and couldn't have been easier. There's actually a setting in the TV for control 4 called control 4 port as an option to turn on or off. The TV is easily controlled by control 4 and actually is very similar to my Sony TVs but at a fraction of the cost. I will likely be installing one of these in another room of mine based on how inexpensive it was and the ability to play perfectly with control4. Highly recommend this brand from my experience so far.

Can a keypad dimmer control a non-dimmable load?
drmark12pa replied to DLite's question in Question & Answer
Funny I have been wondering the same thing. I have lifx bulbs on a few circuits controlled with a dimmer switch which I leave in an on position all the time. I have set the ramp up rate to immediately and the off to immediately as well if I need to power them off to reset them. I'm actually going to be using a keypad dimmer to control a switched outlet which in turn will be controlling some LEDs for my sauna which are either on or off as well.
