Same issue here -- my dealer recently updated my system to 3.4.1.  I followed the instructions found here (requires login) to install ComposerHE 3.4.1.701307.  The instructions have a link to a patch that claims to fix the installation (but didn't work for me).  It wasn't until I got my dealer involved again and after he called support, that we found out the install is still broken.  It would be nice if the instructions page were updated to mention this...

That's an old patch from 2018 due to certificates needing replacing, no where does it mention it's for 341, the 341 fix hasn't been released yet.

So, talked with the Araknis guys last week.  The new 10g switches don't seem to make a lot of sense, and even the engineers agreed with me - their interconnects are only 100g.  This makes anything over 24 ports a nightmare for 10g.    They need an interconnected backplane if they are serious about 10g being useful for real networking.

In any event, I can't see much use for a 10G connection right now outside of 4:4:4 or 8k.    The switches also have some compatibility issues.  So I don't really see the value for most people right now.

    The 100g ports work fine with 4x 10g or 4x 25g QSFP+ breakouts. I'm running with these https://www.fs.com/uk/products/17931.html

Doubtful but not impossible of course. MAYBE in the sense that it can't be main controller, but I would expect them to last for at least 2-4 more years.

End of sale, I expect soon (they aren't yet!)

Uk portal, EA1 and EA3 still available at the moment but EA5 was end of sale back in august

End of Sale Notice: The C4-EA5-V2 Controller is End of Sale effective August 2022.

Yes, I believe it should work on any Android / iOS device.  It's easy enough for an installer, if their customer doesn't have any devices, to temporarily enroll a device into the customer's system, and then remove it aftwards.

    I don't know about T4s.

Assuming it won’t require the customer to hand over their customer account password?

The user setup on the Halo remotes will be done with the Control4 app on Android or iOS, using a QR code provided by the remote on bootup.  It's similar to the Neeo, but entering the data is done on the phone, which makes it much more convenient than trying to enter wifi data using a list-based interface on the Halo remote...

Not sure we like this idea, most of the systems we install don’t have mobile phones. Sometimes there is a customer supplied iPad. Will it also work on iPad?

Have you thought about adding this to the T4? hold the remote up to the camera.

What is Android being used for then if not for the OSD? is it only on HC800? Sorry. I am a little confused by "The HC800 can not run an OS3.x Navigator.  Android sucks up a lot of resources."

The HC controllers are Adobe flash based for the OSD, which was dropped altogether in OS3. EA controllers are using android for the OSD and the Core controllers are now running something different which we don’t know what it is.

  7. The exchange program comes to an end next week.

"We are writing to tell you that starting 13 September, 2021, we will no longer provide our extended replacement program for the SR-260 remote. We began the replacement program to assist dealers experiencing specific issues from several lots of the SR-260 remotes produced from late 2017 and early 2018. We successfully resolved those issues in 2018 and have used the extended replacement program to offset impacts to dealers from those lots. Through internal analysis our team believes that we have moved through the impacted lots and should expect no further issues."

Has anyone got any experience with modbus TCP? I am wanting to change register 2703 on unit 100 at IP address 192.168.0.27 to, say, 200.  This is a Victron setup which allows communication via modbus TCP (which I had never heard of until a few weeks ago).  The register is writeable...

I would assume that this driver would allow me to do this? Does anyone know what I would enter into this driver and would I need more information?

I have not got very far investigating via google!

    Try these http://www.yatundev.eu/drivers/modbus-rtu-driver-control4

Curious about what you are doing with Thingsboard. What data are you publishing and how are you using it on the Thingsboard side?

Temperature logging was the main thing, then displaying this on a T3 using a webview.

We usually use thingsboard for logging data from control and monitoring systems on board yachts.
