Hi, huuuuge problem, internet is going to be faster and faster. WiFi ac- not good anymore as I can see. WiFi 6, does anybody know any good WAPs for it? I worked with Ubiquity, not sure they are in the picture now

just wondering, why do you need it? for creating some scenes? I did both way, for regular user there is no difference ( not for me as well) they concerned about picture quality and price, how does it get turned on and off... up to them with abraquadabra and woodoo. but it just what do I think, every body has his own way to think.

why are you looking projector that "works" with C4? why do you care how it will be controlled (IP, IR, RS232)? I would be worried about projector it self (good picture, price, ETC), what exactly do you expect from C4 remote? after all in most systems it is just turn projector on and off, maybe change modes (game, movie, ETC). for those simple operations any installer can make driver (IR).

Sure. I had that kind of problems a lot, cameras connected to ISP router, so I can't reconfigure it, cable boxes with wifi access to ISP router with few ISP WAPS. Some additional services, client has remote access, security system connected. There are a lot of cases I can't bridge ISP router. So.... there for I mentioned that I saw some systems with double NAT working. As well many times I saw daisy chained routers with same sub net ISP router 192.168.0.1 and another router with 192.168.0.1. I can say more, I saw them connected to same switch with LAN ports, so it was really interesting. Saw one part of network connected to ISP router and another to another router (Can't print, can't stream, can't see, ETC.). Guy who does network needs to understand what does he do and be able to finf and fix all that "stuff that suppose to make network better". For client it will be good to find that kind of guy and do not touch network even with DIY "easy for self installation" devices. Found many times P&P means Plug and pray

Small addition. If I activate "All Off" Scene in any way (by pressing All Off button, Arming alarm system, talking to Alexa) any of that action set " Media Status" to "0" with 5 sec delay. (just in case)

I think it is a problem. new wifi system may have its own router. Daisy chained/plugged into same switch routers, it is not very healthy connection.

I I created variable "Media status" Every time if any zone is changing status to "on" it increases variable by 1 ( 4 zones on, it will be equal 4) every time if zone is off it decreases variable by 1 ( turned off 1 zone - 4-1=3), so at the moment we got all zones off, Variable =0. in over section of programming "when "media Status" changes" if it =0 (means all off) change LED to Blue, if >0 - Red, or what ever. 1 condition

yep, 1. in new composer it works better. 2. depends how many conditions do you have, (if you have a lot of media zones you need to program each one) I found variables work better.

2 waps should be enough. depends on you house of course.

Araknis. I didn't work a lot with it, just few times. Didn't find anything wrong with it. You may have "initial design" issue, wrong Waps locations, wrong network setup/configuration, not enough WAPs, faulty devices. Unfortunately there is no "one click" or " Ha, this is wire with wrong color here" solution. All that stuff (especially won big projects) needs to be checked. Any changes in system can cause some issues, such as: my cameras stopped working, I don't see my smart devices anymore on network, my intercom stopped working, ETC.

We moved to Ubiquity. Works pretty good, but now with internet speed close to 1 Gig download speed it is going to be next challenge.

Just in case, what is your location?

I don't exactly know what is going with your network, dual Nat may cause to troubles as well, Im not sure if it can shut down all system, I saw that stuff working no problems for a wile. Anyways, few times I got issues (with Luxul routers) after firmware update system started to act bad, nothing to do with tech or installer, I didn't know what to do, C4 tech support didn't know, Luxul tech support didn't know. But for sure network is a base, it must be solid and properly configured. If your system getting stuck and nothing responds I can suspect IP conflict. Or maybe you get 2 routers on same switch, or cascaded routers with same sub net. in those cases network may work for a wile and stuck after short period of time

Ok, got some additional questionos. 1. in intercom, chime played when button was pushed. how does it go? from same speaker that used for communication with visitor? 2. Hik camera pointed to the gates only? I got 2 ways to try. 1. connect wire to one of the intercom speakers with some small resistor and capacitor to your controller Sign input and program chime with 3-4 min delay between actions (system won't play chime when you talk to visitor if it has common speaker) 2. Hik has alarm relay. you need to adjust motion detection on camera and make built in relay on hik dvr/nvr go to NC. connect relay to C4 controller and make chime working. Hik can't be connected directly, it needs to be connected with some simple circuit ( I used one 2.2k resistor) After all, C4 can be triggered by intercom speaker or HIK relay (detection area can be adjusted) in the past I made systems working in both way. Hik was turning security lights (or whatever you want to program), and speaker option I made working with some unknown wireless chime, just connected wires to speaker with capacitor and resistor (to prevent DC and reduce signal level) both way it works

System is network based. I would check your network setup and equipment. Very cheap router or very expensive managed switch can cause to problems. changing network configuration can cause some issues (ip conflicts, wrong sub net, etc), changing wifi configuration can affect remotes and lighting (very close channels wifi and zigbee), you need to know what to do and how it works before you change anything.

Macros or lighting scenes? Lighting scenes it will be easy to follow status, if you used C4 devices. With other stuff you may get some issues such as delay or may not follow status at all. But if you have C4 lighting it is very easy to do eve with multiple keypad, all will change color according to scene status. Macros with sound or video scenes mixed with lighting it will be more difficult, but possible, depends what do you want and what do you expect. Variables need to be involved. not very straight forward programming. Example. All Off button is Red if anything is On (any light, audio or video related to C4) if all is turned off ( in any way, with app, remote, or just turned all switches off manually ) will change light to Blue

do you have any cable going from any of intercoms to C4 controller. 2 conductors at least.

I know "on" and "off" may do not work with that GUI, but rest of the stuff should work, interesting. In any case, did you get system working?

IR it works well, but usually those drivers pretty old... you may need to do some modifications such as VHS input works now as Games, lack of proper inputs. Not big deal after all, but needs to be checked, as well no feedback about amp status....
