That’s the AVA remote that’s the subject of the lawsuit.

House72 reacted to Midnight1982 in Control 4 Driver for Hisense TV 120L9GU - Power On
Might have to make a custom driver on this one, I have had some issue with TCL another cheap option of TV. I find to stick to main stream brands of TV as i find they just work - in saying that though can't expect the customer to go out and buy new TV as the same time...

Not a TV but a projector. Haven’t worked with them before but what driver are you using? What does the documentation say?
my guess would be that there’s some energy savings setting on it that needs to be disabled, in order to keep the Network control available during standby.

House72 reacted to cnicholson in New Halo and Halo Touch Remotes
It just passes audio from Halo to the target device. It (apparently) can do whatever your Siri remote can do, including controlling stuff in your Apple/Homekit ecosystem (so not really limited to Apple TV functionality in that sense).
There are solutions that will bring your C4 ecosystem into the Siri/Homekit ecosystem that will allow Siri to control your C4 stuff, but that's not really a Halo feature--- it just allows you to control that stuff from Halo instead of native Siri remote (or HomePod / iPhone). Check out the DTI Homebridge drivers. But that would be a separate project well beyond the scope of adding a Halo to the system.
Alternatively, once they get the Josh.ai integration working, then your Halo will become a microphone for Josh and you could use Halo to control lots of C4 stuff. I assume this will be the supported/recommend solution, but quite pricey for most people/projects.

core adds considerable processing power, speeding up the micros too (even with no nanos in project). Also when using only micros (no core) you are supposed to have at least one hardwired (rest can be wireless), with a core you don't have to. And the biggest reason is to use audio cast with micros (sound through your speakers, automatically lowers volume when you say Hey Josh and then resumes sound at previous level). A micro speaker volume alone in Theater room would be too low to hear anything if main speakers do not lower when you try to issue a command (eg pause movie). So core+micro is the ideal situation

House72 reacted to Mntneer in Cost of C4 Install
$125 and hour may be a little steep, but that all is market/region dependent. Sure, you can rush through installing in-ceiling speakers, but it's best to at least figure 30 minutes a speaker to make sure everything is done properly. So figure 2 hours in labor for the 4 speakers alone, another hour or two for the speaker wire, then termination, cleanup, etc. From an estimating standpoint you're looking at a day's labor.
From the C4 standpoint the most important thing he (your dealer) needs to be aware of is your network. If you've got a solid and reliable network, setting up a single room with an EA-3 (or EA-1), with the equipment you listed, isn't going to take a whole lot of time.
At the end of the day, you've got a room with a Kaleidescape system and some nice equipment, so don't short change the room on control or the Atmos install.
