    2. Link Plus (for Existing Connect Series Users) Model L2 (Smart Series)

What is the correct model that I need to purchase which works with Driver Central's Lightwave RF software driver for Control4 compatibility?

  2. Hi @Andrew luecke

Actually my AVR Sony DA5800ES is in my server room.
The speakers are in the Theatre room to listen to music and video's audio which are connected to this AVR.
I connected both Mi Box S & Chromecast to the Leaf AV Matrix.
One of the outputs of Leaf AV Matrix (Zone 5) is connected to this AVR (HDMI Input GAME) to get the video's audio through the receiver.

However, the audio of Mi Box S & Chromecast is not outputting through the AVR.
But the audio of Apple TV works.

I tried changing the settings of the AVR, but I couldn't figure it out yet.

    Hi Guys,

I bought a Xiaomi Mi Box S and tested it with Control4. I used @alanchow’s Android TV driver for the integration. It works well when connected directly and I even tested it through Binary MoIP using a Pakedge SX switch. Only problem I’m having right now is when I connect the Mi Box S to a Leaf AV Matrix, I’m not getting the sound from TVs in all zones. Any idea why this could be ?

    Thank you

AppleTV = IR integration, period. IP doesn't add any benefit anyway. Use an IR driver and it'll work just fine.

Android TV is likely available, and the above mentioned driver is excellent.

Best integration is probably Roku, but as per above post I can't comment on availability.

    Hi @Cyknight

Im having a 4th Gen Apple TV. Is it possible to control through IR? I tried once but it didn’t work out.

Another isssue with ATV is that it suddenly turns off (The LED indicator turns off). Then it doesn’t turn on even with the ATV remote.
Then I need to unplug the power cable and replug it to turn ATV on.
This issue was common in multiple ATVs I had.

    Thank you

My favorite is the Chromecast with Google TV.  Supports 4k HDR and is bang for buck if you're after streaming services.

Works great with the following driver.

    Hi @alanchow

is it possible to connect a Chromecast with Google TV or Xiaomi Mibox to a Control4 Audio & Video Matrix switch to access it from multiple TVs?

Also will I be able to take the full control of the GUI of Chromecast with Google TV using Control4 app from the iPhone just like we control AppleTV?
(Hope it is not a must to have a SR260 or Neeo remote to navigate the operating system/GUI of the device)

So are both devices controlled through Control4 over IP?

    Thank you

  6. I need some suggestions for Control4 compatible streaming players which are supported outside USA.
I should be able to control the streaming player from the Control4 app.
I need to watch youtube, Netflix and etc...

I have been using Apple TV and it sucks big time when it comes to Control4 integration.
Apple TV keeps disconnecting whenever a new update arrives. Every time it gets disconnected, I need to reset Apple TV and reupdate.
With the most recent IOS update, even though it displays that the C4 remote is getting connected, it cannot be controlled.

I'm looking for a good streaming player, where the C4 integration is stable and doesn't get disconnected due to updates and etc....

    Thank you

  7. I'm using RS232 DMX engine by Engineering Solutions to integrate DMX decoders of American Lighting (Prizm Lighting) with Control4.
    https://americanlighting.com/REC-DMX-5A-4Z

They have DMX amplifiers with and without RDM.
Should I buy a DMX amplifier/splitter with RDM or without RDM if I'm using with Control4?

  8. Hi,

This is a very basic question. The reason that I'm asking for advice is that I have not used 0-10v dimmer drivers.

I have a project where I need to connect multiple lighting loads to a single output of a 0-10V dimmer module. I have drawn a simple diagram along with a relay module for on/off control.

    https://ibb.co/C8qSywC

Can someone please check and let me know whether this is correct?

If not what is the best practice to do it. Because 0-10V is a very low value. Even if we bring the lighting dimmer drivers closer to the lamps, still we would need to run a wire pair (purple and grey) from the 0-10v dimmer module to the dimmer driver loop of lamps. Will there be any voltage drop? What is the recommended length of the dimming wire? Need some advice...

    Thank you !

They have changed the design - We have the old ones

May need to check with Alan that these new ones will work

We have also starting using the Phillip Hue Plugs - You have to light driver to get them work with C4 - But if

you have the Hub it will safe you some CASH

    Hi @Gary Leeds UK

Other than lighting, have you used electrical equipment like washing machines, dryers and steam irons with Philips Hue Smart Plugs?

    Hi @Gary Leeds UK

Thank you so much for your feedback !

Do we need an additional hub for Wemo ?

    Thank you...

  11. I have tested the EA-5 controller with a RS232 DMX Engine. I had to break the 4th pin of DB-9 male connector starting from left, in order for it to work.

    DB-9 Connector broken pin - https://ibb.co/QCmsFZN

However, I have not tested this with a CA-1 controller. As you know, CA-1 has a RJ45 port for serial communication and we can directly purchase a RJ45 to DB9 connector cable from Control4.
In this case, do I need to break the 4th pin of this cable as well?

    Thank you.

We have quite a few products that suit made by several manufacturers

My current favourite though is the TP-Link KP200 as its in-wall rather than a plug.

    Hi @alanchow

Is Orvibo WiWo s20 C4 driver compatible with B25UK driver in the link given below ???

Because B25UK is what is available in Sri Lanka.

    Thank you...

  13. I couldn't still figure this out!

The readings that I get on the app proxy aren't accurate. I believe it's not sending the current temperature reading getting displayed on the thermostat to the Cool Master Net Module.

I have demonstrated this in the video given below.

Appreciate it if someone can help !
