I have been using the music wake up feature without issues until my internet went down and the music did not play and there was no last train to the coast with the three men I admire most. So C4 developers, can you meke a default alarm sound if the internet goes down so people can wake up to an alarm. Sonos does this... Thanks, Don McLean

Yep, had the same issue where some commands work and other times they are not synced. Appently a known issue with the interface, maybe a reboot will help. If you want it working right get the $20 serial adapter from amazon and the $200 driver here. https://bnet4solutions.com/portfolio/bpentair/ Works great with many more options. if you read the documentation, the developer discusses the exact issue you are having.

Agree, not talking about the cell network, just the one router at work that is blocking my video to the DS2

Hacking Pool heater interface
Olichops replied to Anks329's topic in Troubleshooting, Workarounds, & Bugs
Here is my 2 cents, I have a Pentair system with the intellitouch panel. All you need from this point is this driver https://bnet4solutions.com/portfolio/bpentair/ for much cheaper than the ilink Pentair has and way more control of the system that pentair allows. The driver is great as you can add icons to all the C4 Touchsceens and monitor the pool chemisty if you have have the ichem, control all aux relays, etc! -
Good question Amr, as the peeps at ATT and c4 can't figure it out. I do have one wifi connection at work that has the same issue but I have not had time to drill down to find the root cause of that connection
-
Actually its is Spectrum who uses big V red towers and their other hotspots. So far its good
-
Well, the peeps at C4 fixed the intercom bug where auto answer with video would only sometimes work. You should have the patch on the TS if you want to check. If you navigate to Settings > System Info on your touchscreen you should see the Control4 Software version. If that is 323.17.x.xx you should then have the update. As for ATT and the DS2 no video, that bug #1 going past a year and sounds like it will never be solved. Dumped ATT and went to verizon and now no issues!

DS2 Mini Video only working internally
Olichops replied to fredsoneya's topic in General Control4 Discussion
Welcome to the club of broken Intercom issues! I have had the exact issue you mention for over a year and the above post link does explain this. It is an ATT cellular issue and another issue as some external wifi access points don't work with the DS2. I also have intermittent auto answer issues with the touch screens that the C4 peeps are going to release a fix in mid May. Just curious in the brand of network equipment you have your C4 connected to? -
C4 engineers responded that they have a fix in the works! General release is May 16th for all those that have this issue!
-
Thanks Amr, I now have the intercoms back online after a reboot of the ea1s also. The original issue remains with the auto answer function, some times it work and other times it will not connect. If I set it the auto answer off the intercom calls always rings.

Tried the FreeSwitch stop and start but still all TS are listed as not ready in comm agent
-
Yes rebooted the ts and the ea5. I have no intercom settings in on the TS and the ones in composer look normal. Take a look as adding you back
-
So ever since the 3.3.2 upgrade (now on 3.3.3) The TS to TS intercom calls have been hit or miss to connect. I have had my dealer take a remote look and found nothing, Control4 engineers have conferenced in and I sent them logs of my system during the event. Control 4 said looks like the Communication agent thinks the TS is busy when it in fact is not. They still have not come back with a fix. My dealer went in yesterday and re-installed the comm agent and now I have no intercoms! All TS say no intercom available. Dealer says need to roll a truck to reflash the system bit can't for a few weeks. Any ideas?

Chowmain - ELK M1 Security Panel Driver Version 2
Olichops replied to alanchow's topic in Third Party Software
I had an Elk M1 and it was easy to program. If you can use composer you can do the ELK unless they added some dealer only BS -
Thank God maybe a fix will roll out. How about fixing the no video on DS2 with ATT cellular, seems like you can get this fixed too! Been a year now and no fix,,,
-
rebooot of everything does not fix my issue
-
Yes there is a bug in the comm agent that I have had since 3.3.2! Calls to the Touchscreen will sometimes auto answer and sometimes not and time out as busy. I have been working with C4 support and they are working on a fix. Still no fix for the DS2 on ATT with no video going on a year!
-
yes it is called favorite channels list so you don't have to plug in channel numbers. Each room also lists what channels or sources that were play recently so you can pick from there too.
-
So Communication agent --> Advaced tab and refresh the gateway there? Did that and no fix. Tried the disable/emable of freeswitch and still no go
-
So my EA5 auto updated to 3.3.2 and not sure if related but internal intercoms on all my TS3 screens will not connect except the DS2 which works fine. Rebooted the whole system and network, still no go. I might get one call to connect then the next will not. TS to TS, cell to TS all the same issue on the intranet. Anyone else with issues?

Best way to integrate Mika Aire fan into C4
Olichops replied to AshMania's topic in General Control4 Discussion
Both will work just having 2 contollers in the chain could cuase an issue later. In The outdoor set up you will not have fine control over speed, like high, med and off -
Best way to integrate Mika Aire fan into C4
Olichops replied to AshMania's topic in General Control4 Discussion
I have Minka through the house. The indoor ones usually have a seperate speed controller at the wiring connection cup. Don't use it and instead use the C4 speed controller. Now the outside ones have the controller built in the motor. Set it to Hi on the Minka remote and use C4 controller. Not ideal on the outside as I have had the speed lost once and a built in controller die requiring a new fan under the lifetime warranty on the motor. -
Too many AP is all relative to the situation. I have an AP in a closet next to an exterior wall that will not penetrate the concrete block with rebar wall to a generator that is only 20 feet away! And this is a wifi 6 AP. Needed 5 indoor and 2 outdoor APs. Make sure to turn down the power in close AP settings as handoff becomes an issue. Use the WIfi Man app on your phone as it is an amazing free tool that maps your signal to the room and you can see the signal stregth, AP handoff and live speeds!

well that make sense! Thanks
