azkid got a reaction from Andrew luecke in What CCTV with analytics are you Using with C4?
depending on what you mean by analytics you can use hikvision with alans chowmain driver.  The analytics run on the NVR and then you just set it up to notify the alarm center which gives you something to program against on the c4 side.  I use LTS cameras which are just rebranded hik with that driver.   If they like the alarmdotcom setup and just want it in C4 to view you can just use a generic driver with the HTTP feed

I've just called the Brasil office and spoke to them about this.  They seemed very friendly and told me this product is shipping and available.
I'm located in the United States and was told their distributor is located in Chicago and should have stock available.  Once I receive further information I'll let everybody else know who is interested.
@Amr I see you are located in Egypt, but perhaps the US distributor can also help you out or provide different contact information?
    Thanks,
    John

If those video sources are available on the remote but not the app in that room you probably don't have the watch favorited in that room.  hit the 4 in the top left and you should see it there.  Press and hold the watch and favorite it to the room.

azkid got a reaction from evil0ne in Bali Somfy Z-Wave Shade grouping
My somfy shades are connected to smartthings which allows voice control through alexa.  I then use a vera as a secondary zwave hub to copy all my smartthings devices and integrate into control4. For what its worth I don't think vera is a very good hub/solution at all... The only reason I have it is its the only one that works with control4

azkid got a reaction from evil0ne in Pentair Intelliconnect?
I have screenlogic and do the same thing as you, use a rs232 usb adapter hooked up to the wireless screenlogic adapter inside my house. I am able to pull all the information using a js.node program that was developed for smartthings. Here is the link to the smartthings topic smartthings pentair.  There is links in that topic to the github as well as the smartthings driver (app).  This method allows me to change things as well including turning on various pumps, lights, etc. Given that this works for smartthings I'd imagine it would work for control4 in the very way you are showing above.  I hope you have plans to make the control4 driver available or someone else steps up to do this.   I have no idea how to make control4 drivers but if anyone needs any sort of assistance in terms of beta testing or anything like that to make screenlogic work I'd be happy to help.

azkid got a reaction from South Africa C4 user in Announcement audio files
Anyone have any good announcement files they would be willing to share?  Curious where people get different sounds from?  Was thinking about doing different sounds for my doorbell based on the time of the year such as jingle bells for in December Or patriotic music in July.  I’ve been trying to create a simple doorbell sound just using a YouTube video and one of those online YouTube video ripper sites.  Still I’m running into problems where by the time Control4 turns on my amp/matrix/speaker the music or notification noise is over or cut off.  I guess I could just add blank audio to the beginning but does anyone else have a good fix for that?

If no one has any to share once I get mine figured out I’ll post them here but again would love to save some time and use anything that’s already been created.

azkid got a reaction from The Good Guy in Free (ish) IFTTT driver workaround
Realized today, you can use lutron light switches as an IFTTT workaround to trigger control4.  To do this you can set any IFTTT trigger (IF) and set your action (then) to set a specific light value on a lutron light.  You can then program any control4 action off that light % and set up several different actions.  Last you can also include in your control4 action to turn the light back off so your lights aren't on.  I don't have one but guessing you could do this with a lutron dimmer which if you didn't have it plugged into a light you wouldn't have to worry about the light turning on.

So for the cost of a lutron device or potentially free if you already have them you don't need to buy a driver to integrate IFTTT triggers.   I'm sure you guys who are much smarter than me have already thought of this but for the new guys like me just thought I'd share

Here's an IR driver for a fire stick with the amazon logo. I'll also attach the config file for the flirc that the driver was based on. I use the IP driver on my system so I can take advantage of the mini drivers then switch to the flirc driver with a bit of programming when a mini driver is selected so I get IR control

azkid got a reaction from OceanDad in Hikvision/LTS Hybrid DVR Integration
Also looking to do this, it seems the LTS and Hik allow you to trigger a "dummy" motion sensor with an alarm output but I cannot get it to work....  if anyone has any other ideas to get cameras to trigger programs I'd love to hear it!
