I only have one (1) WAP at this time (plan to add one or two more in the future, but only need one now), so no option to block NEEO on other WAPs.

How do I disable "sleep mode"?

I haven't put a router behind the ISP router because it forces double NAT, which I'd prefer to avoid.

Wifi sleep mode is under NEEO settings in Composer HE.

You don't have to double NAT if you can put your isp router into "bridge" mode.

I would STRONGLY suggest that if you're going to build out a multi AP network, you ditch Netgear WAPs.

See the attached screenshot for current radio configuration settings. You can see that it is already set to a 20mHz bandwidth. Are there any other settings you recommend checking or changing? The screenshot shows the configuration that has been in place for months - with terrible performance from the NEEO.

Get off channel 3. Pick 1, 6 or 11. You will want to perform a site survey to determine which one to use.

If you have no b devices, select 11ng.

I'd move guard interval to long 800.

Pick a set power level. I know you're single AP, but Netgear will actually fluctuate transmit power depending on throughput (I believe you're 2x2 which won't take much to force a change).

does that PulseEight ProAudio Matrix downgrade from digital inputs to analog outputs (and vice versa)?

Digital inputs to analog output, no problem.

Digital inputs to digital output, no problem.

Analog inputs to analog outputs no problem.

Analog inputs to digital outputs is a little finicky, in my experience.

According to the manual, Analog to Digital is done by creating a mirror on the digital output of the corresponding analog output (i.e. coax out 1 mirrors analog out 1).

I played with this when we first put the matrix in c4 because I was running digital amps but didn't have any luck getting it to work (2 channel audio). Opened a ticket with pulseeight but gave up on it before I heard back.  Pulseeight support is excellent, btw, I just put a work-around in.

My issue was supposedly a firmware bug on this specific matrix with the c4 driver version (I'm on a pre pulseeight Zektor proaudio AUD1600 that takes different firmware and c4 driver version). They sent me both, I upgraded, fixed a few other issues but never tested the conversion to digital again.

If I remember correctly, besides the mirror, the corresponding analog and digital outputs need to be "joined" together as a single zone (this was mentioned on my support call).

Here is the snippet from the manual..

  4. If it's a dipswitch keypad lock, to mute..

      dipswitch #3 to off (down)

If yours doesn't have dipswitches, then it's keypad presses (only works with the deadbolt unlocked)...

      Master code

      Lock button

      1

      5

      Lock button

To toggle between mute and sound.

I have 4 older kwikset keypad locks on interior spaces, this is what works between those 4 locks.

  5. I'll throw this out as a decent "budget friendly" option for 4k multiview..

We run 5 of these in office common areas (mix of the 2x2 video wall and single display multiview setups). I can't speak for how well the c4 driver works as we utilize a different control system.

Jtech is based out of Houston and have always been quick to respond to any questions or issues we have.

I suspect the reason you added all the additional “+1” to your code was because it was not doing what you expected which was a consequence of the “else” not being used…

Lol, It's because I did not fully understand and dumped all of this under the pico button.  Fwiw, this worked great with 2 sessions playing. It was seemingly random with sessions playing across all of these rooms. I also see what you meant about starting the variables from highest to lowest. I got that fixed, but re-reading your first post I see that I should have the pico button send a +1 and put the programming under the variable which will make this much cleaner (and it will actually work like I want it to).  I'll redo it and post it up.

Dont join session. use room control driver to add rooms to the source room.

I'm starting to play with that, dealer added it to a few rooms for me to play around with.

Weird thing is digital media /  join session works for everything.  Detect session doesn't work through digital media (unless it's a c4 stream).

Well... Almost.  So this seems to work well as long as I'm streaming music directly from the controller.  Easily jumps between sessions with each button press.

But..  If I have sessions playing with other music (for anything other than pandora we use a NAD CI-580 Bluesound player for 4 more streams).

Everything is plumbed into my matrix, sessions in the app shows TV audio, streaming sources off of the bluesound, just the same as pandora or qobuz on the controller.

Is it a correct assumption that the digital media / session variables only apply to devices in a session with audio streaming directly from the controller?  Not ALL of the actual sessions running?

Hate to be the DB that quotes myself. Just trying to document this.

    What I found...

Programming against the digital media / if in a session variables - only works for streams coming off the controller (at least in my environment).  However, if I detect the session some other way (like room / power state).. I can use the digital media / add rooms to session action.

I'm sure I didn't discover water on mars, just thought it was super weird behavior and wanted to document it in this post.  Actually found a post from 2017 specifying that not all A/V devices are considered digital media.  Based on my testing, I would surmise that not all sessions are considered 'digital media / sessions' from a conditionals  standpoint.  But - all digital media sessions can be joined with the command regardless of "how" they were started.  ????????
