Upgrading to Neeo Question

Recommended Posts

Hi folks,

We will be getting a C4 system for a single room (Theater) and I’m not sure if I want the Neeo or SR260. If I get the cheaper SR260, but don’t like it, how easy is upgrading to Neeo? Can I do it myself or does the dealer have to come and program it to work with my system?
Any suggestions on which may be better? We really like the sleek look of the Neeo, but neither wife nor I are particularly excited to have to go through multiple screens to get to where we want, so maybe the sr260 buttons may be easier. Appreciate any advise!

Neeo can be installed by customers (unless the installers have explicitly gone out of their way to lock the ability in Remote Hub, which they generally shouldn't have, unless the remote control is installed within a non-residential environment). SR260 requires a dealer to install.

If you are streaming your TV service the Neeo. If you want to key in a channel number I couldn't imagine doing that on a Neeo.

I am using a Neeo, previously a SR250 and am very happy with the upgrade.

If you were doing something channel-related on the Neeo (I use it for Xfinity Cable), the best option is to setup a channel cloud, and favorite the top channels you use for instant access on the Neeo's home screen, so you wouldn't have to select the device, swipe over to the number keypad, and enter the numbers.
