djheijs
App can't connect. Remotes don't work, scenes don't work. After a power cycle on EA5 I can briefly connect and now I can't anymore. Could there have been some automatic update to the system?
c4toys
what OS? 2.0 or 3.0.. sounds like network issues
djheijs
OS 3.0 Why does it sound like a network issue? I can reach the EA5 webpage just fine.
msgreenf
sounds like a bad driver if it works for a minute then stops Rexabyte
Rexabyte
1 hour ago, msgreenf said: sounds like a bad driver if it works for a minute then stops Likely this, there's likely a driver doing something on initialization or shortly after that's causing problems. Director log should show a sigkill event, you may want to see if there are any logs related to drivers before it. Deleting the driver from /mnt/internal/c4z (both the .c4z and unpacked folder) should allow director to start properly once the problematic driver is gone. djheijs
@TheWizardThanks. Is that something I could do myself or do I need to contact a dealer?

This would be some a dealer should be doing to make sure the correct elements are all removed. msgreenf
djheijs
Somehow this seems to have resolved itself. I don’t quite understand how. Could a new version of a driver have been pushed that’s not broken?
South Africa C4 user
I had a similar problem over the weekend. Suspect it was a water monitoring driver which had two updates within a day or two... but I may be wrong!
djheijs
@South Africa C4 userthanks. Good to hear that it’s not an uncommon occurrence.
anon2828
Having this exact same issue. Have not updated anything. No new drivers or programming. No new equipment. No changes. EA5 in rack has needed to be rebooted now 3 times in one day. Remotes and all Navigators lose connectivity. System has previously been rock solid with no reboots needed at all. System has been in place for about 24 months OS 3.1.0.566785 Also Q: Any ill effects of rebooting the EA5 over and over again (just had to reboot again)? The EA5 is solid state (no moving hard drive) - correct? Help please.

anon2828
I believe they may. Is there any way in Composer HE to check out what is going on, or do I have to depend on a dealer to diagnose?
jeffatwork
I've its related to the time-change that happened over the weekend, as many people all having the same issue. My zigbee stopped working but after a reboot, started working again.
anon2828
Is there a fix or update to stop the madness? I had not heard about it being related to time-change. Would think that in 2020 Control4 would have that worked out...just sayin'

South Africa C4 user
My main issue was definitely driver related... or at least I’ve had over 24 hours of stability for the first time in a week (having removed the problem driver from my project yesterday)
