TundraSonic
Composer HE upgraded today and when I try to get in to our EA5 it asks for a system password. It's never done that before and our integrator says that there is no system password (which kind of concerns me but that's another topic). It's not happy with simply pressing OK nor w/ my client master pw. Thoughts?
prabeau
I had to un install HE and re-install and decline 3.2 update
dinom
So what's the deal with the password for HE 3.2? Do I have to downgrade to 3.1x to make this work again?
TundraSonic
Thanks. So it sounds like a bug in 3.2 Do you know where I can get the previous version? Thanks,
dinom
Problem is my system was just upgraded to 3.2, so I don’t think I can downgrade. if you into your C4 portal account you will find all previous versions under “your system”.
dinom
Anyone figure this out yet? Is it a bug in 3.2 for everyone, or just us three?
cdw5510
I just moved up to 3.2 last night too and seeing this also. My dealer is working to see if it is a bug, I am going to go with yes. Has anyone here tried to SSH into the controller and use default password with root account or if they updated their password use that one. Can you get in there, I am unable to get in that way too, just another data point.

TundraSonic
Is it only affecting people who have no system pw? Or at least no system pw for locally attached machines? Is the easy solution to setup a system pw?

Matt-G
Same problem. I removed all the HE installs on my laptop, downloaded Composer Home Edition 3.1.3 and was able to connect again. dinom
Looks like you are talking about Media Edition above. The rest of us are talking about Composer HE.

ddsag09
It's a little ridiculous they wouldn't have caught this in beta.

compuaid
I had the same issue. Uninstalling Composer HE 3.2 and re-installing Composer HE 3.1 worked. For now I will have to ignore the update prompt when I open. I also notice that Composer gives you instructions on how to open the Help menu and turn off automatic updates, but when you open the Help menu the Check for Updates option isn't even there so even the help message is buggy!
